Biden: "You will never hear me speak ill of another Democratic candidate"

You will never hear me speak ill of another Democratic candidate, and there’s a really simple reason for that,” Biden said. “We have to be in a position, whoever the nominee is, to be able to win

Does that go for Joe's Super PACS? No co-ordination leaves the PACS free to go as negative as they choose.

1. I thought that Joe was one of the candidates that got after Elizabeth Warren in the last debate.

That doesn't square with this comment presented in the op. I don't care for hypocrites of any kind.

....there are policy differences and there is speaking ill of others.

If candidates aren't supposed to discuss policy differences, what's the point of debates?

social media and rando blogger goon squad (but on steroids) route.

It will turn the campaign into an utter shitshow and it only will aid Rump and the Rethugs.

I can see social media becoming even more destructive and influential than it remotely is now. It can become one of the main drivers that helps aid in the death of most all rational political discourse and our collective societal attempts to find any sort of objective truth. It (and other things working in concert in a negatively synergistic way) can easily become a force that plays a major role in ripping (literally) the national union apart in the next 2 (3 MAX) decades. Rubicon after Rubicon is being crossed daily or at least weekly and monthly.

6. Tim Cook - on weaponizing our preferences
Thu Oct 24, 2019, 06:42 PM
Oct 2019

(Excerpt from his speech Brussels)

Our own information, from the everyday to the deeply personal, is being weaponized against us with military efficiency.

Every day, billions of dollars change hands, and countless decisions are made, on the basis of our likes and dislikes, our friends and families, our relationships and conversations… Our wishes and fears… Our hopes and dreams.

These scraps of data – each one harmless enough on its own – are carefully assembled, synthesized, traded, and sold […]

We shouldn’t sugarcoat the consequences. This is surveillance. And these stockpiles of personal data serve only to enrich the companies that collect them.

Your profile is […] run through algorithms that can serve up increasingly extreme content, pounding our harmless preferences into hardened convictions. If green is your favorite color, you may find yourself reading a lot of articles—or watching a lot of videos—about the insidious threat from people who like orange.

In the news, almost every day, we bear witness to the harmful, even deadly, effects of these narrowed world views.

Not one negative word from her about another democrat. She has focused on her policies and hasn't tried to put other candidates down.

That is a policy difference, not a personal attack. Honestly, she will have to do high dollar fundraisers if she wins the nomination, there is no way that she would be competitive dollarwise.
