Tue Nov 26, 2019, 04:14 PM
Nov 2019

Sanders would want to pick Booker for his identity and ability to appeal to black voters, which is a big part of the electorate, and a part of the electorate that Sanders simply doesn't get.

Booker also appeals to the establishment wings of the party and has the sort of resume setting him up to run for president someday in the future.

(and Sanders recently voiced his support for an Rx bill that Booker either authored or co-authored and presented last week)

29. It won't. He doesn't have the support of the AA/POC communities.
Tue Nov 26, 2019, 06:30 PM
Nov 2019

Remember that one time when he had a rally in North Charleston, SC? BS can't even get AA and POC to attend a rally at an historically BLACK church in a MAJORITY BLACK neighborhood, within a MAJORITY BLACK city.

His rally (although well-attended) had so LITTLE ethnic diversity that it looked like he could have been somewhere Vermont. In fact, based on the statistics, the demographics at that rally was even whiter than Vermont.

It's obvious that the AA and POC community are rejecting BS and the BS campaign. They did then, and they still do NOW. He can't make headway. He hasn't been able to refine and tune his message.

BS just doesn't connect with that community. The BS message just isn't resonating.

All I'm saying is, with such a humiliating rejection by the AA and POC communities, and without their vote, BS doesn't stand a chance.

would be smart: A nod to POC and women, great on the attack, flexible enough to get onboard with his policies, excellent move to position her for 2024 if he doesn't want to go for reelection and quite capable of taking over if something unfortunate should happen. If I were to advise him, I would suggest either a woman or person of color from a purple state.

I think maybe Stacie Abrams from Georgia or maybe Gillam of Florida. While both lost, they came awfully close.

Kamala Harris might be on the list but being from California brings little as far as possibly flipping a state. California is very blue. Similarly Cory Booker I don't think makes the list. But he is an excellent speaker.

There may be other state leaders that might make the short list that I am missing right now. But it would be interesting should Bernie win the nomination.
