18. The Politico article on how much money BS's campaign loses to transaction fees
Mon Dec 2, 2019, 12:22 AM
Dec 2019

mentioned a standard fee of 30 cents plus 3%, so he couldn't go as low as 27 cents. With $3 donations, an amount he does request, he'd be losing 39 cents of each transaction, or 13%. That's compared to losing $1.20 or 4% if the same person makes one donation of $30. Bernie's paying a very high rate on those fees to be able to brag about lots of small donations.

This has nothing to do with Sanders. They do this with any transaction.
Might as well blame Quick Trip since people do small payments using credit cards there was well.

Most of these recurring contributions come through ACT Blue. Act Blue collects does this for all the democrats.
So if Sanders is Making the credit cards rich" so is Biden and Buttigieg and every other Democrat.

And I am curious what you think the alternative is.

Wait for some billionaires and dark money pacs to donate instead?

Here is what the FEC says as far as how much money Sanders has raised

https://www.fec.gov/data/candidate/P60007168/

We can also look at Biden
https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00703975/?tab=summary

Warren
https://www.fec.gov/data/candidate/P00009621/

Buttigieg

https://www.fec.gov/data/candidate/P00010298/?cycle=2020&election_full=false

He has raised more than any other Democratic Candidate and it's not coming from large donations.
