He is losing support, even as the competition fractures.

Early States Primary Poll IA NH NV SC
August 13, 2019

Biden 35%
Sanders 18%
Warren 11%
Buttigieg 6%
Steyer 6%
Harris 6%
Booker 5%

Since that August poll, Biden has gone from +17% to +5%.

Biden's 29% in the Morning Consult National, is his lowest number since their primary polling him began.

22. From poll to poll, Biden's support tends to oscillate. This is because,
Tue Dec 3, 2019, 07:54 AM
Dec 2019

in polling, one takes a sample of the entire group and hopes that the sample is accurate, but some samples are more accurate than others. the RCP 2020 combined poll graph shows what has been happening overall. Biden's overall support has been swinging between about 25% and 30% overall for the last few months--above everyone else. Biden will win in the primary states in the South and in many other states like Nevada. Biden supporters are quite content with where he is right now in the Primary, and he scares Republicans like Donald Trump to death. We Biden supporters expect to keep smiling all through this year and next.

There are two tracks in this primary..the lefty left, where Warren and Sanders are, and the moderate track, where basically all of the other candidates reside. As other candidates drop out, Biden should get the lion's share of the votes, and a whole lot of the other candidates will run out of money by Super Tuesday in March. Go to the RCP averages at the following link and see what has been happening:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/2020_democratic_presidential_nomination-6730.html

Biden may have slipped a bit recently, but his 3 closest competitors are in much worse shape. Warren, who was Biden's biggest competition, has slipped 12 points since around October 8, Sanders hasn't been at 20% since last April. Buttigieg's average is doing much better than it used to at around 12 points, but he cannot seem to get much of an African American vote at all. If he cannot get enough African Americans to vote for him, his goal of the nomination is doomed, and I do not really see his African American support improving enough over the next few months. Those are the only three people that have any hope of catching Biden, and their hope is really either slim or none. We Biden supporters are not scared, we are not going anywhere, and we look forward to the Democratic National Convention this summer, and then the election next November. Joe Biden will relegate Donald Trump to the dustbin of history, and he will begin to repair the damage the moment he is inaugerated. Odds are, Joe Biden will choose a woman as a VP, so when he wins, so will all of America and the world. Happy Holidays!
