Change the criteria.
It probably would have been 6 if Harris hadn't dropped out.
Klobuchar had qualified for this coming Debate by the first week in November, Yang and Steyer took another 6 or 7 weeks to do so. There just wont be enough time.

But the DNC is likely to tweak the criteria.
