I like how they just lump them all together rather than separate them out by state. You know, a way that would be far more meaningful given that all of these states have differing numbers of delegates.

Polls cost money and the cost scales poorly with the sample size (response rates are low so you must contact many more people than you wind up including in your sample).

A poll of each swing state would be ~10x the cost of a single state. So they do this instead. But the samples per state are too small to draw conclusions about those individual states.

It’s a bad practice.

Which states and how many people polled in each? This kind of lumping doesn't tell us anything about delegate counts, and they are the only things that matter, really.

Was Bernie doing too well in some of them , so they threw the individual polls in the garbage can ? They have always published Super Tuesday aggregate popular vote and delegate estimates alongside separate individual polls from the first 4 states ….Why not this time , CBS News ?
