Sanders surges ahead of Iowa caucuses

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/474777-sanders-surges-ahead-of-iowa-caucuses

While I am a supporter of senator Warren, Sanders keeps surprising me.
I still don't understand why he never registered as a democrat, while he runs as one and caucuses with the democratic party.

He's never served in public office as a Democrat, so I think that "Supe- I" might be more accurate, if facts are of interest.

In any case, for a "Super-Democrat" as you put it, he certainly seems to like to reach across that aisle to Republicans, doesn't he?
