The Question Bernie Is AFRAID to Answer: Are Obama and Pelosi Establishment Dems?

The primary reason why I dislike Bernie Sanders is that he had built a career on attacking Democrats. This is why he gets so much attention. He is rewarded by Fox, Republicans, Trump and Russia for weakening Democrats from the so-called left. Indeed, he has spawned proteges like Tulsi Gabbard who has gone further than Bernie in attacking Democrats, which is why she is set for a highly paid position on Fox News when it is all said and done.

Bernie is still doing this even as he runs for the Democratic nomination:

?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1205890982727880706&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fijr.com%2Fsanders-crowd-boos-democratic-party%2F

The question the media and debate moderators need to ask Bernie is he saying that Nancy Pelosi who is standing strong against Trump is one of the establishment Democrats that he is always complaining about? What about President Obama?

I predict will once again play coy and perhaps talking about the need for unity. But, this is why Bernie can't be trusted.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

From the BuzzFeed article, Bernie: "But on the other hand, as Hillary Clinton reminds us, he got more money from Wall Street than she did."

THAT'S BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO POINT OUT THAT DONATIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO WORK ON WALL STREET ARE NOT CORRUPTING. THEY DID NOT CORRUPT OBAMA. DUH.

Hillary: "President Obama took more money from Wall Street in 2008 than anybody ever had. And when it came time to stand up to Wall Street, he passed and signed the toughest regulations since the Great Depression, the Dodd-Frank regulation."

Extra hilarious and points considering that this was posed in an interview by no other than Cenk Uygur

Do you think President Obama is the establishment? Or is fighting against the establishment?" Cenk Uygur, host of the daily liberal talk show The Young Turks, asked Sanders during a long interview with the Democratic presidential candidate.

Sanders effectively said the answer to Uygur's question was yes.

"I think probably both," Sanders said. "Do I think he has real views and real concerns, deeply felt? I think he does, you know, unlike some people who will go with the wind all the time."

99. ALL Dems who don't support him are "establishment."
Mon Dec 23, 2019, 05:48 PM
Dec 2019

Actually, I qualify as "establishment" both in reality and in his hostile imaginings.

First, he lacks most of my qualifications for someone I believe would handle great power even adequately or apply the principles I require. This is a democracy. Majority wishes must matter! Therefore, I'm trash-canned as corrupt establishment, really hardly different from Republicans, as he points out in some way at almost every public appearance.

AND, I strongly believe in USING the vast power of the liberal half of our nation who created and support the Democratic "establishment" to serve OUR wishes, not Sanders'. In my opinion, throwing away that power because it doesn't always serve only us completely and instead turning on and attacking the vast majority of my fellow liberals would be incredibly counterproductive, even astonishingly self-destructive. I may not agree with everyone else about everything, but I wouldn't dream of attacking instead of working with the vast mainstream of my fellow progressive liberals to achieve our common goals.

That is for those driven by an inner dissidence that denies the wishes of all dissented against, including it sometimes seems to me, even our liberal, progressive democracy itself.

(We all know some who actually think destruction is needed before they can rebuild properly. My guess is, the Republicans and the ruthless powers who act through them wouldn't bother to eat Sanders and all of his zealots together for breakfast, not enough of them for a side dish, just stomp them in passing without noticing.)

I’m not a Jill Stein type at all - pretty much blue no matter who. I would vote for a republican with great policies, but I’m more likely to photograph unicorns in the wilds of Wakanda first.

Am I disappointed by Democrats sometimes? Sure, I expect a lot from them. They play a little too nice against these psychopaths sometimes as if psychos do anything in good faith. I’ve been frustrated by that before, though they’ve gotten better. Obama certainly learned what kinds of “people” he was dealing with by his second term after trying to work with them in good faith during his first term.

I’ve never booed, but I do have higher standards for Democrats as I expect a lot from them.

Take a person with a genius iq - If I try to teach them advanced calculus and linear algebra in high school and they fail to grasp a subject I know they can grasp, I will be disappointed. Sanders is less accessible than competitors such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren, whose campaign says she has held 82 press gaggles and done 170 one-on-one interviews.

Sanders “wants to talk about what he wants to talk about, when he wants to talk about it,” said one reporter who covered the candidate in 2016 and 2019. “And he doesn't see the value of talking to reporters about what they want to talk about because, in part, he thinks they’re going to talk about what he considers stupid stuff.”

but, then I understand where he's coming from and the difficulties involved in trying to bring about real change in this country. Taking power back from greedy corporations, Wall Street cheats, insurance company death merchants, pharmaceutical company drug-lords, the war-machine that has grown out of the military industrial complex, the planet-killing fossil fuel industry and other corporate scam artists, and giving that power back to We The People, where it belongs, is no easy task.

I hope you'll reconsider, but regardless, I wish your candidate much luck as the campaign unfolds... I'd be only TOO happy to vote for her over the Traitor-in-Chief currently occupying the White House.

"The ideas that I talk about are ideas that the American people want. They don't get it because you've got a Congress indebted to wealthy campaign contributors." (That must include the Speaker of the House)

"The business model ... of the Democratic Party for the last 15 years or so has been a failure. People sometimes don't see that because there was a charismatic individual named Barack Obama. He was obviously an extraordinary candidate, brilliant guy. But beyond that reality ... "

so much for that idea. Apparently, it's not big enough for Bernie, who "plays ball" with his fellow Democrats, indeed, votes with his fellow Democrats far more than your average Democrat.

But, holy shit, were Bernie to take his "Democratic ball" and go home by running as an Independent, as some here have suggested, can you just imagine what the response would be?!?! That would be a disaster, of course - and I certainly could not vote for him - but, thankfully, I know Bernie would never even consider doing such a thing. He's WAY too loyal to the Democratic Party and knows that would be handing the election over to the Shitstain-in-Chief.

BS also endorse the lewd misogynist, cenk uygur, President Obama would never do anything like that.

Sanders’ abrupt reversal represented a misstep for Vermont senator and presidential candidate. The California arm of his campaign was warned about Uygur's past comments and urged the national campaign to stay out of the race, sources told POLITICO.

But Sanders endorsed Uygur regardless.
His intervention created turmoil on the ground in California’s 25th Congressional district, a seat that Democrats flipped in 2018 but is now vacant after Democrat Katie Hill resigned amid allegations of sexual impropriety.''

Similar denunciations poured forth again following Sanders’ endorsement on Thursday. Even supporters of the Vermont senator expressed dismay that the progressive standard-bearer would back a candidate, in Uygur, with a problematic history. Local activists also groused that, unlike Smith, Uygur does not live in the district.

96. Are You Sure You Are a Warren Supporter?

Warren was after all nominated by President Obama to be head of the consumer protection agency and he strongly supported her original run for Senate. Heck, they have both described each other as friends with many former Obama officials supporting her campaign.

Suggesting that Obama/Trump are the same and constitute the status quo is certainly not something Warren would ever endorse. I can see Bernie saying that, but not Warren.

So, why are you supporting Warren over Bernie? I don't expect a real answer, of course, except perhaps a claim that they are the same, which they are not.

All Democrats want Citizens United repealed. Republicans are the only reason we aren't getting ahead in this country.

Being an "Establishment Democrat" simply refers to party leaders and those who align themselves with them who are the power elites and resistant to change within the party.

It doesn't mean they don't do good things, too.
