Kucinich endorses Gabbard's 2020 bid

BY REBECCA KLAR - 12/23/19 02:00 PM EST

Former Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D) has endorsed Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

“As a former Cleveland mayor and eight-term U.S. congressman, I remain concerned that our country is spending too much time looking for dragons to slay in other countries instead of taking care of things here at home,” Kucinich, who ran for the White House in 2004 and 2008, said in a video shared on Twitter on Monday by an ABC News campaign reporter.

“That’s why I’m supporting Tulsi Gabbard for the Democratic nomination for president. She has the courage and the intelligence to get our country back on track,” Kucinich added.

Gabbard campaign spokesman Cullen Tiernan confirmed Kucinich's endorsement.

I never understood what some people saw in him in the first place - he's always been a kind of fringe character - but endorsing Tulsi is seriously nuts and I don't know WTF he's thinking.

And Fox loves them all.
Kucinich has defended Russia and Putin and Trump
Gabbard has defended Russia and Putin and Trump
Trump has defended Gabbard, Russia, and Putin.

Now Bernie defended Gabbard from Clinton's insinuation that she might be championed by the Russians. And, of course, we know that the Russians wanted Bernie to win the nomination. Many Bernie's supporters and campaign officials were Jill Stein supporters. Jill Stein was championed by the Russians. The lines between Bernie and Putin are less clear than they are with Kucinich and Gabbard. I would support him as the nominee, but he's probably #6 in my preferences.

All roads lead to Putin.

He is another conservative authoritarian type who re-cast themselves as a progressive darling (like Tulsi Gabbard and Cenk Unger). I still remember the 2004 Iowa caucus where Kucinich supporters jumped to Edwards (who had voted for the Irag War) in order to prevent Dean from finishing second.
