The polls are what the polls are.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Something that is rarely pointed out. These polls reflect people who have not left the republican party yet or those who still openly identify as republicans. Also it reflects people who still answer their phones even when they don't know who the caller is.

90% of 26% of Americans is quite a small number, a hard core right-wing base that has probably always been with us.

Just about to say this.

These are self-identified Rs. If you were republican but don't like Trump you probably are calling yourself an independent now.

I get so frustrated when journalists and pundits throw out these poll numbers often for a shock reaction, but they almost always failed to clarify that many republicans either don't called themselves republicans or have left the party. Nonetheless, they still go on with their XX% of republicans compared to XX% of Democrats and it paints a very distorted picture and makes the parties look far more polarized than they actually are.

Why?... Because their stock portfolios are rising ………….They are not going to be moved by the argument that Trump must go because he is a corrupt , uncouth skunk ….They know he is but they don't give a damn because they believe he is fattening their bottom line ….We must reach out to the working class voters who are treading water in this so called "booming economy" ..If the Dow drops 30% between now and Election Day , I will change my stance and agree that moderate Republicans are in play for the General … Until that happens , we have to focus on getting a huge turnout amongst our base …...
