Campaign Workers For Andrew Yang Unionize

January 10, 2020 NH Labor News

NEW YORK, NY — Campaign workers for Andrew Yang’s Presidential Campaign announced unionization today after Iowa and Nevada campaign workers signed cards with the Campaign Workers Guild (CWG). Yang management recognized the union after a card check of unit eligible members.

“Today marks a victory not only for our workers, but for campaign staff across the country asking for improved labor provisions, asking for appreciation as a collective whole and asking for a chance to be recognized as more than simply an employee. I am excited to join together with my coworkers in becoming Campaign Workers Guild members.” – Chad Comey, Yang Field Organizer + CWG Member

“The Campaign Workers Guild is excited to represent the workers of the Friends of Andrew Yang Committee. We look forward to meeting with management at the bargaining table and making the policies we believe should be standard a reality for Yang campaign workers.” said CWG Secretary Caleb-Michael Files.

“Andrew Yang is a strong believer in the rights of employees to come together and have a voice in their workplaces. He believes that those rights are the cornerstone of an economy that puts humanity first and that we need to rewrite the rules of the 21st century to ensure that those rules are strengthened and protected. Our campaign is excited to be able to live our values and ensure that our employee’s voices are heard.”- Nick Ryan, Campaign Chief.

The Campaign Workers Guild is an independent national union representing non-management workers on electoral campaigns and other political workplaces.

NH Labor News
The New Hampshire Labor News is a group of NH Workers who believe that we need to protect ourselves against the attacks on workers. We are proud union members who are working to preserve the middle class. The NHLN talks mostly about news and politics from NH. We also talk about national issues that effect working men and women here in the Granite State.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
