Nor is there anything unusual about thanking Biden when he did something that was important to the whole of the Democratic party.

Democrats have even thanks Republicans when said Republican did something good.

It's called being gracious. And trying to get said person to keep doing good things.

Seriously, it's like some people think if you're a progressive, you have whip out a Bat' leth and challenge every establishment Democrat you see to a duel.

Sun Jan 12, 2020, 06:12 PM
Jan 2020

Or that Sanders didn't' work to get Clinton elected?
Or that Sanders sides against Democrats?

Because we have shown video after video of Democrats praising Sanders, of Clinton thanking Sanders of his hard work on her behalf in 2016, of Democrats putting Sanders in important committee positions on the Dems behalf...

.... and weirdly, many seem to think that doesn't' matter. Either history matters or it doesn't.

So yeah the double standard really doesn't help the argument here.

I am not even saying Nina Turner didn't' compliment Joe Biden. If establishment candidates can say good things about Sanders, I don't' see why progressives would never say anything nice about establishment Democrats.

Helping secure voting rights for African Americans has long been a Democratic concern, especially during the Obama administration. So Biden, acting on Obama's behalf, naturally would have received praise from Nina Turner for whom this is also important.
Of course, we can also consider the effect of the bankruptcy bill, it's effect on African Americans, and if Nina Turner was as thankful.

But yeah.. maybe we should stop cherry-picking history. Just saying

And here:

"... longest serving independent member of Congress in American history."

And (ouch!) here:

"As the longest serving Independent in the history of the United States Congress, as somebody who came into office by defeating an incumbent Democratic mayor in Burlington, Vermont, I know something about third party politics. And I respect Jill (Stein).
