Biden seeks to cast Warren as an elitist who believes people lack courage or wisdom

unless they agree with her.

?

Joseph R. Biden Jr. escalated the war of words between the two leading Democratic candidates, painting Elizabeth Warren as unwilling to accept criticism of her plans.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/05/us/politics/joe-biden-elizabeth-warren.html

.

Joseph R. Biden Jr. unfurled sharply personal new lines of attack against Senator Elizabeth Warren on Tuesday, questioning her contributions to the Democratic Party and seeking to cast her as an elitist who believes people lack courage or wisdom unless they agree with her.

“Some call it the ‘my way or the highway’ approach to politics,” Mr. Biden, the former vice president, wrote in a Medium post. “But it’s worse than that. It’s condescending to the millions of Democrats who have a different view. It’s representative of an elitism that working and middle-class people do not share, We know best; you know nothing.’ ‘If you were only as smart as I am you would agree with me.’ This is no way to get anything done.”

Mr. Biden repeated similar arguments in a fund-raising email and at a fund-raiser in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, escalating tensions between the two top-polling contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination. He did not mention his rival by name, but the message was unmistakably aimed at Ms. Warren, whose Republican critics have for years sought to paint her as an out-of-touch liberal who worked as a Harvard professor

There is no one in the race with a stronger background in protecting working families from our corrupt economic system than Warren, or has crafted a more pro-working family platform than Warren.

This eagerness to attack her and paint her as someone she is not is a deplorable tactic. Especially when none of them believe their own words against her. It’s just politics to them.

Bernie, on the other hand, is a Monster for allegedly doing so ..That's fair ...Right ?.. Methinks Bernie has won the debate on the Issues … Hence the resort to silly, disingenuous distractions , faux outrage , and the cries of Victimhood …. Bernie hates women ..Look at that Document over there … What's next ?... Bernie spanked his dog when he shat on his carpet ... Get this take from Joe : "Joe Biden Said Hillary Clinton faced Sexism , But that's Not Going to Happen with Me " .....January 3, 2020 from HuffPost …… It sounds like Joe is saying that is more difficult for Warren to win because she is a Woman ….Don't take the risk of voting for a chick ...Vote for Me ……..Why aren't those "objective" journalists at CNN grilling Joe ? ….

And Warren said Biden should run in a different primary (said he wasn't a Democrat) at the same time...and Biden said what he said after Warren said this...but at least Biden had the guts to say it and not have a surrogate say it. And then say he was so busy...he couldn't answer for what campaign folks did...Neither Warren or Sanders ever mentioned the other's names...and they didn't use it as a script either...nice try. Hey what you think about Warren confirming that Sanders did say he didn't think a woman could win the presidentcy.

much older articles. Seriously, if you don't like it move on. You seem rather desperate to trash me for posting the article. If we were to change Biden's name to Sanders in the article no one would have a problem with it being two months old.

As for Warren confirming that Sanders and she had a discussion on many topics and the topic came up as to what would happen if the Dems nominated a woman she and he disagreed on if a woman would win or not. It seems to me from her press release she was not happy about her private conversation coming out. She and he have a good relationship and are good friends. I imagine she wasn't offended at all by him disagreeing with her. But then they both have the same objective. Defeat Donald Trump. I think Liz will have a harder time but either one can beat him.

You think that people don't notice this is posted when Sanders is under fire for calling Warren an Elitist...is it a big coincidence? I had no problem with Biden fighting back when Warren went after him...And Warren can say what she chooses...but this is different. I feel the attack from the Sanders campaign wasn't right.
