The "30 year" thing with Bernie was kinda funny.

(11,936 posts)By her logic, Donald Trump has never lost an election either. Warren has only faced 2 elections. Sanders and Biden have been in numerous.

(8,280 posts)question. She is the only person on stage that beat an incumbent Republican.
She and Klobuchar have never lost an election was her point

(11,936 posts)Its still a throwaway line. Comparing your record of "winning elections" against people that have ran dozens more time than you have doesn't even begin to make a valid point. Its good for a laugh and thats about it.

(49,044 posts)primary races have those women been in, compared to the men?
Biden dropped out of two presidential primaries, but as far as I know, he hasn't lost any general elections.
Warren adding that bit about defeating a Republican "in the last 30 years" was also silly, a picky number chosen to ignore what her male rivals have accomplished.

(83,951 posts)10. Have heard that line too many times before, and I think it's a weak answer. How many elections or
primary races have those women been in, compared to the men?
"Those women"? OMG!
Done here.

(49,044 posts)think it's silly to set up a comparison when the women on the stage haven't been in nearly as many races as the men.

(49,044 posts)unfair heckling, Biden's been getting it from both Trump supporters and supporters of some of his Democratic rivals.

(83,951 posts)22. What does that have to do with the comparative number of races they've been in? And as for
unfair heckling, Biden's been getting it from both Trump supporters and supporters of some of his Democratic rivals.
So has she and unlike you I have never trashed Biden. Not once.
Not one time.

(29,228 posts)by anyone.. this should be an election of a) beating Trump and b) restoration of dignity to the office of the President and c) ideas for the future
And, if I was on the stage, I might has asked Warren "how many women have ever won a national election?"
It's not a fair question, only 3 women have ever BEEN on a national ticket. But it's just as false as making some sort of remark about the men on the stage.
I am almost certain that this year we will elect a woman President or Vice President... and it better f'ing not be Nicki Haley.

(25,686 posts)he'd won an election against an incumbent Republican, the look on Elizabeth's face! She said yes, I said I was the only one on stage who won against an incumbent Republican in the last thirty years. I guess Bernie didn't hear what she said.
