Does your candidate support the USMCA?

...Bernie doesn't...

...standing with America and the American worker, Bernie voted against the USMCA today,

The Hill, 1-16-2019

" Sanders, a fierce critic of trade deals, was the sole 2020 Democratic presidential candidate to oppose the USMCA. While the White House won over some trade hawks with stronger environmental standards, Sanders said the deal fell short of the transformational change needed to protect American workers.

“We need to fundamentally rewrite our disastrous trade agreements and create and protect good-paying American jobs,” Sanders said Wednesday in remarks on the Senate floor.

“This agreement does virtually nothing to stop the outsourcing of jobs to Mexico.” "

https://thehill.com/policy/finance/478636-here-are-the-10-senators-who-voted-against-trumps-north-american-trade-deal
………………………………………

...this is why we need Bernie in the White House...this is why Bernie will be our next President...

...the American people are watching and taking notes on who supported this disastrous trade agreement and who stands with them and the rebuilding of the American middle-class...

"[Bernie]...sole 2020 Democratic presidential candidate to oppose the USMCA..."

5. Bernie Sanders: 'Of course' I would use tariffs as President
Thu Jan 16, 2020, 11:57 PM
Jan 2020

Bernie has made clear that he would not only double down on Trump's tariffs, but he would go further than Trump in trying to isolate the U.S. Bernie's opposition to the most recent trade deal illustrates how Bernie continues to scapegoat immigrants and trade for the problems faced by American workers. It is is a xenophobic view that can be even more extreme then Trump when it comes to trade.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/25/politics/bernie-sanders-tariffs-trade-war-sotu-cnntv/index.html

Washington (CNN)Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said he would use tariffs as a negotiating tool if he wins the White House but slammed President Donald Trump's latest maneuvering in his trade war with China.

"What the President is doing is totally irrational and it is destabilizing the entire world economy," the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate said in an interview that aired on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday. "You do not make trade policy by announcing today that you're going to raise tariffs by X percent and the next day by Y percent, by attacking the person you appointed as head of the Federal Reserve as an enemy of the American people."

When asked by CNN's Brianna Keilar if he would use tariffs to cut a deal with China during his own presidency, Sanders said that he would.

Yeah of course, it is used in a rational way within the context of a broad, sensible trade policy. It is one tool that is available," he said. "You're looking at somebody, by the way, who helped lead the effort against permanent normal trade relations with China and (North American Free Trade Agreement)."

7. Why Are More People Not Outraged About How Bernie Sanders Frames His Views on Immigrants?
Fri Jan 17, 2020, 12:00 AM
Jan 2020

Bernie helped set up the environment that lead to Trump with his repeated efforts to scapegoat Trump and trade. A lot of Democrats support Medicare for All and progressive taxation. Bernie has made a name for himself by scapegoating immigrants and trade to exploit xenophobia.

https://www.latinorebels.com/2019/04/15/sandersimmigrants/

Are people really taking Bernie Sanders to task about what he told Trevor Noah last week during The Daily Show’s Between the Scenes digital segment?

As Sanders stated (bold and italics are our own emphasis):

Nobody, I mean not many people believe in open borders. If you simply opened the borders, you’d have people from Vietnam and China and Mexico and Latin America coming in. And no one thinks that is a plausible approach. On the other hand, I think the strength of this nation is the diversity and the new ideas from immigrants from all walks of life have given this country. So you need a rational, non-racist immigration policy which welcomes people in from all over the world to improve our economy, but clearly you cannot have open borders.”

Assuming your figures are correct, these are some possibilities that popped into my head when I read your question:

1. He is not by any means opposed to all immigration, you're wrong when you say he's against immigration.

2. There may be more people open to employment than the official unemployment figures indicate.

3. If you're going to be displacing workers with some of your policies (i.e. a complete overhaul of the healthcare system), that will create people who need other jobs.

I think because most people understand that he did not really mean that he wanted NO immigrants from Vietnam, China, Mexico, or Latin America... but that he was saying that open borders could mean being overrun by immigrants from poor areas to an extent that is beyond our means to accommodate.

and improved prosperity in most of the counties along the Rio Grande River. Those counties vote reliably Democratic every election at both the state and federal level (with the exception of Rep. Will Hurd who is retiring--that district will likely turn blue in 2020). A lot of people were lifted out of poverty because of NAFTA and the jobs that were created. A lot of people of people in Mexico were also lifted out of poverty which meant that they did not emigrate to the U.S.

I know that there are some people that lost jobs to NAFTA, but I also feel it is important to mention that there are two sides to every coin.

AFAIK Yang hasn't talked about it specifically, though he wants to end all carve-outs for fossils in all trade deals.
