And it's not just celebrities, of course. The assertion that Trump was going to usher in an immediate revolution was shared by many, but it's so laughable that I'm not sure how the adherents can be serious.

If I were to vote in a presidential

Sun Jan 19, 2020, 04:17 PM

and gave his opening speech for his campaign, he was talking the wall and hatred of Mexicans and Mexico.

His campaign didn't talk about walking away from the Paris accord, tearing up NAFTA, tariffs on China, threatening war with Iran, or most of the crazy shit he has done since being elected. It was heavily weighted to anti-Mexican rhetoric. Now I live in California, and most of us get along well with Mexicans. We go to school with them, work with them, have them for neighbors, etc. But on a national level, it was easy for Trump to frame them as the bogeymen.

And my statement doesn't "imply" anything. It states that like it or not, this country is full of racists, and Trump is proof of that.

More women voted for Hillary. I find it objectionable that you parrot Trump's repeated false claim here. Hillary won the popular vote by several million.

According to the Pew study, 39% of all women voted for Trump, as did 47% of white women. (No group of women voters supported him at 52% or above.)

We are going to pretend that isnt word for word what cons say whenever someone with money says we should have a more progressive tax system? Its the line used whenever a Billionaire says we shouldn't do another tax cut for billionaires.

It's literally what snarky right-wing libertarians said to obama when he talked about income inequality.

So yeah, now that you have been "informed", maybe don't use right wing talking points.

I want to believe you made your comment without thought, that you didn't mena to mock a core value of the Democratic party.0

Sun Jan 19, 2020, 05:18 PM

The only connection to Bernie is Sarandon being butthurt about his loss.
It wasn't Bernie but Sarandon pushing with deranged arguments to vote for the Green party instead of Hillary, claiming that Hillary is a warmonger who would be worse than Trump. She's the one not affected by Trump taking over while dreaming about some kind of revolution (whatever that means in her mind) that we'd get faster under him. These are the major reasons why people here dislike her, it's not because of Bernie.
