Environmental activist John Lundin: NYT, if you can't choose, why not go with Biden as most Dems do?

Two tweets from Lundin on the Times' dual endorsement:

The New York Times, in an effort to appear transparent, has , in effect, endorsed no ONE for president, clearing the way for four more years of Donald Trump, should he somehow survive this year.

New York Times - if you can't choose between the progressive candidate and the non-progressive candidate, why not just go with Joe Biden. That's what the polls continue to tell us the greatest percentage of Democrats are doing.

From Lundin's Twitter profile:

Tweeting from the jungles of Colombia! Environmental activist, author of JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF THE WORLD, and followed by @BarackObama and @NicolleDWallace

It would be great if she was doing better...possibly a VP pick.

I do not like warren. FP comments show her naïveté. M4a not doable. Making campaigns Promises that are pie in the sky

When I read the New York Times article, I got the feeling that what they were doing was doing the ultimate cop-out, as in, "We cannot decide whether to go for a more Centrist candidate or a more Progressive candidate, so we just chose the two women."

What a stunning lack of conviction or courage not to be able to settle on a single candidate. Their main beef against Biden seems to be that he is too old, even though the three front runners are in their 70s, and whoever wins will be going against someone in his 70s. America does not seem to have a problem with older candidates, so why does the New York Times? Their comment about Michael Bloomberg, that the guy who completely supported Stop and Frisk has the cleanest record of any candidate, is beyond insulting and shows that the New York Times is completely clueless.

The fact that the New York Times rejected the two older White guys that currently have the best shot of winning the nomination shows that their editorial is more one of dreams than of reality. When, as is most likely, the nomination is picked up by Biden or Sanders, the world will see that the New York Times, instead of trying to be clarifying, simply tried to be aspirational and simply wished that we lived in a world where electing women to the presidency has not been made harder by sexist idiots.

If somehow, Warren or Klobuchar become the nominee, I will happily support them. However, I will not vote for anyone solely because of his or her gender. I will always look at the total package. All other things being roughly equal, I will usually vote for the woman over the man, the gay over the straight, and the person of color over the white. However, in this election, I don't see all other things as being equal.

In this election, I am voting for the person who I think can best beat Donald Trump, the person who has the most political experience of any candidate, and the candidate who has spent more time in the White House than any other candidate. I am voting for the candidate who has for decades now repeatedly shown respect for oppressed people throughout the nation and the world. I am voting for the candidate who I think would do an awesome job as President, and if that person happens to be White and a guy, then so be it. It is a cross that I am willing to bear.
