Do people also realize that Biden has been putting his hands on shoulders and arms around people for decades?

Second point first:

Now about Ms. Flores:

WASHINGTON -- Our Revolution on Monday announced the formation of its board. The diverse coalition of eleven former elected officials, organizational leaders and grassroots activists join the board to continue the work they started as volunteers and surrogates for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign, mobilizing progressives across the country to transform American politics.

Full board list below:

Nina Turner - Fmr. Ohio State Senator
Deborah Parker - Native American Leader
Ben Jealous - Civil Rights Leader
Jim Hightower - Political Leader, National Radio Commentator & Writer
Jim Zogby - Arab American Human Rights Leader
Huck Gutman - Former Chief of Staff for Senator Bernie Sanders
Jane Kleeb - Environmental Activist
Lucy Flores - Fmr. Nevada Assemblywoman
Larry Cohen - Labor
Catalina Velasquez - Immigration, Reproductive Justice and Trans Queer Liberation Activist
Shailene Woodley - Actress and Environmental Activist

Mar 2019

I believe Sanders owes the American people ten years worth of his and Jane's full tax returns. He promised that they'd be released "soon" but that was about a month ago. This is starting to look like a great big "fuck you" aimed squarely at the voters and the other candidates. It's starting to look like they're hiding something. By not releasing their tax returns and making excuse after excuse and giving us delay after delay, it's like they're pleading the fifth. Obviously it's not proof positive of any wrongdoing, but it certainly does look suspicious.

Look, if those tax returns have been submitted to the IRS, then they are ALREADY COMPLETE... aside from blacking out some SSN's they're ready to go. So what's the hang-up? What's the delay?

All I'm saying is that the American people deserve to see proof that someone they're considering voting for is NOT a tax-cheat. People deserve to know where the money is coming from, where it's being invested/saved (domestically or in an off-shore tax haven) and we deserve to know more about a candidate's moral character and what's important to them by seeing which charities they donate to and support.

If he's not going to release his taxes (and I don't believe he will) then he should step aside.

Sanders says he did not know about sexual harassment allegations during campaign

https://www.democraticunderground.com/10142234955

And, Flores' version of what Biden did doesn't hold up..

Event organizer: Biden, accuser were never alone together

“I have thoroughly reviewed photographic documentation from the event, and spoken to nearly every principle in attendance, as well as staff associated with the event. To the best of our recollection, at no time were Lucy Flores and Vice President Biden alone,” Henry Munoz, co-founder of Latino Victory Project, said in a statement.

“Lucy is my good friend and a good friend to Latino Victory, which has strongly supported her political career. I also firmly believe that women need to be supported and heard and that there is a reckoning in our culture that is long overdue. Vice President Biden is also my close friend, to the degree that he presided over my own marriage. These are both individuals that I love and respect,” he said.

“Yet at no time were these two leaders alone together and I, and the organization I cofounded and those in attendance, do not believe that circumstances support allegations that such an event took place,” he added.

Biden has inherent sexist tendencies that are more prevalent in his age group.

I find dismissing that fact, and it is a fact, to be the problem. Writing it off as the “usual suspects” or someone with an agenda is to dismiss the most prevalent form of sexism seen in society today.

It’s going to be overblown by some with an agenda. It’s fair to speak about that. It’s wrong to use it as a means to dismiss the societal issue as a whole and how Biden’s actions feed into it. It’s not sexual harassment. It’s not even harassment. Calling out those claiming it is either of the two is fine. What he does have is a pattern of action that is demeaning to women, non-existent in male to male communication outside of the familial unit, and the most common form of sexist behavior seen in society today.

I think Biden is an extremely good man. His intentions in these encountters are good. He simply doesn’t see the patriarchal, demeaning, and oppressive consequences of his actions. This is a one hundred percent learned behavior. The beauty of that is he is getting a lesson today and will be better for it.

Dismissing or calling out those with an agenda is fine. Using that as a way to dismiss the behavior is not.

Share your councel. It might be enlightening on the subject matter or more along personal lines.

A boss may hold the keys to a job and a fundraiser may hold the keys to sought money. I get why some people keep quiet.

If Biden touched her shoulders and kissed her head and she was not comfortable with it- from my perspective I don’t see it as a mark against Biden’s candidacy. If he’s the nominee I’d be glad to support him.
