Fred Guttenberg on Sanders' apology to Biden

He was commenting on this tweet from Biden:

Thanks for acknowledging this, Bernie. These kinds of attacks have no place in this primary. Let’s all keep our focus on making Donald Trump a one-term president.

Guttenberg's take:

.@JoeBiden is classy for doing this. I have been going back and forth with Bernie supporters all weekends for lies like this. Yesterday, they attacked me for calling out this article. The VP may be accepting this apology, I believe this comes straight from Bernie and not ok.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I do believe I’m in agreement with Mr Guttenberg. And Bernie hasn’t made any effort that I can see to rein in the people that are working for him. Seems to me that would indicate that he’s in total agreement with what they’re doing/saying. Isn’t there a saying that it’s better to ask forgiveness after the fact than to seek permission? It’s like Bernie is making a half hearted apology after he’s given his peeps permission, tacit or otherwise, to put out misleading info about another candidate and the damage has already been done. Too little too late.

on the path they have taken, then I would have to doubt Senator Sanders' sincerity in his apology. We'll see.

Until then, he is just playing the usual dirty political game where you have your surrogates put out dirty attacks on your opponents and then disavow them in public while pretending you have nothing to do with it and are above the fray.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
