e.mail from John Aravosis:

Sunday night March 31 is the end of the 1st fiscal quarter for presidential candidate donations, and Pete Buttigieg, along with the other candidates, will be publicly reporting for the first time how much they've made in donations for that quarter.

The amount is hugely important for setting expectations going forward with donors, grassroots supporters and the media. It's a big deal. So far, Pete has done really well, qualifying for the presidential debates and moving up to 3rd place in the Iowa Caucuses in the latest poll.

Please use this link to chip in a last-minute donation and help Pete get as big a first-quarter number as possible.

And I was on Joy Reid's show last weekend to talk about 2020 (and Trump/Russia), and I made a few comments about Pete that you can check out here. I've also got a piece coming out later tonight (Saturday) in the Daily Beast about Pete recently coming under attack for -- get this -- not being gay enough. While the attack on Pete is the up-front reason from writing the piece, it's really more about what I call "the Oppression Olympics" that seems to constantly be dividing so many on the left -- i.e., each movement trying to put down its allies in order to move ahead. Obviously, I think this is a bad idea. Keep an eye out for my commentary later this evening.

Thanks, JOHN
