Buttigieg gets air support in New Hampshire

An outside group backing Pete Buttigieg is launching a TV ad campaign supporting him in New Hampshire, roughly two weeks before voters there cast ballots in the first-in-the-nation Democratic primary.
The ad buy from VoteVets begins Wednesday in New Hampshire, according to data provided to POLITICO by Advertising Analytics, an ad tracking firm. A VoteVets spokesperson confirmed that the spending will support Buttigieg but declined to provide further details about the content of the ad or the full size of the buy.
Advertising Analytics has tracked over $197,000 of advertising reserved by VoteVets so far, a figure which could rise as more TV stations report the spending. The ad buy runs through Feb. 3.
VoteVets, which was founded in 2006 and backs Democratic veterans running for office, is the first outside group to go up on TV in support of Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind. It joins super PACs supporting Joe Biden and Deval Patrick on the airwaves right now, while other groups supported former candidates like Cory Booker and Jay Inslee in the past.
