I find it concerning that well knowing people are downplaying what happens to someone when they endorse Bernie. It has revived Nina Turner's political career, almost set Tulsi up as his natural successor, and put local politicians on the map. Young supporters aren't going to get a sanitized version of Rogan when they decide to pay some respect to a man that endorsed Bernie. They're going to get the full uncensored version w/ an extra helping of aggrievement if Bernie loses.

The only purity test I have seen is from the BS crew.

They are ultra progressive's or you will be primaried. They are blocking the door in the big tent. No moderate or liberal will be allowed. They want to make it their tent when in fact it is OUR TENT.

A moderate, Manchin, a picture of him the other day at the Senate hearing with Tammy Baldwin next to him taking copious notes, then there was Bernie....

Bernie gets an endorsement from an independent talk host, and everyone is all outraged. I get that Rogan has said offensive things, but like you said, the way you grow the party and win elections is by getting support outside of the ultra progressives.

And this isn't even endorsing Joe Rogan for office, it's just receiving an endorsement. From an independent. I'm pretty sure if Biden got endorsed by an actual Republican (if it hasn't happened already), everyone would be thrilled about it. And for good reason.

I totally agree that there's no point in replacing moderate Dems in swing districts with lefties that go on to lose to Republicans. But there's also no point in rejecting votes from Joe Rogan's audience, which is pretty big and probably includes a lot of independents who could go either way.

Offensive? He said he wanted to shoot a woman in the C**t

but like you said, the way you grow the party and win elections is by getting support outside of the ultra progressives.

I did not say that you did. I do not want racist misogynist haters' in our party, the GOP is already full up with them.

And this isn't even endorsing Joe Rogan for office, it's just receiving an endorsement. From an independent.

WTF? It is an endorsement from a hate filled man that hates women, POC, LGBT.

I'm pretty sure if Biden got endorsed by an actual Republican (if it hasn't happened already), everyone would be thrilled about it. And for good reason.

I can't even touch this one. He was vilified for even saying he would work with one.

But there's also no point in rejecting votes from Joe Rogan's audience, which is pretty big and probably includes a lot of independents who could go either way

Sorry. I do not wants Rogan's "audience" in out party. We might just as well do a Kumdaya with faux snooze.

I have no idea why anyone who didn't before would become an apologist for Sanders as information about the Real Bernie Sanders is coming out. But he really could use even one person who could come up with honest, intelligent arguments. Isn't that where you might be able to contribute? Unlike JFK or Joe Rogan (or Joe Biden), Bernie has always been ahead of his time in terms of being progressive. But we can't be purists, so in order to win elections, we also need independents like Joe Rogan's audience.

I mean, that's the whole reason we're told that we need to accept Biden's centrist policies on issue after issue, and his votes for the Iraq War and deregulation and bankruptcy and welfare and trade and so on (seriously, has he made any progressive votes?) is that we can't alienate those "moderates". Right? When Biden is talking up his segregationist buddies, or bashing welfare queens, or floating a Republican running mate, it's all for then greater good, it's all part of the plan to get independents, right?

But then Bernie, actually getting an endorsement from an independent with a large audience, and without actually shifting his policies to the right the way Biden does, and it's all outrage from the centrists. Hypocrisy is head spinning.

Black vote as well as other POC and the gay community are crucial to winning the presidential election.

That being said, Republicans are duly pushing the narrative that BS should be the choice for the Democratic Party's nominee.

Regarding the Impeachment "sham" trial, on the defense of shithole, they are going full force against the Bidens. Pompeo is going to Ukraine.

Also Republicans are trying to keep Democrats bickering. Ain't gonna work.

Maybe everyone should remove their bias spectacles and see our situation as it truly is; this is an existential fight for the soul of America.

I say, if the deplorables choose to endorse and vote for a liberal candidate, well then whoopee!!! Isn’t this just what we want?

I love Bernie, I have been following him for the last twenty years. These right wingers are still our fellow Americans, maybe Bernie can brings us together with the hope of something genuine. As much as I admire and respect all of our candidates, none of them is as real as Bernie. But I am all in for whoever wins the primary.

I am sooo tired of the DUers tearing down each other’s preferred candidates — it makes me think of the scene from The Fellowship of the Ring where everyone but the hobbits is seen arguing and clashing reflected in the Ring. Who needs Russian Trolls when they can count on us to tear down our own candidates?

than send a warning out about a negative endorsement. On the other hand the number of people seeing the light Bernie is shining on human rights, expanding healthcare, bringing opportunity back to the hourly working class, equal opportunity, giving people reasons to live instead of dying for, that number seems to be growing. If anything can be learned from the polls expanding in favor of Bernie it is Bernie represents a better way of life. Bernie is converting millions to the idea that real capitalism is making things to sell. He is awakening people to the truth that real capitalism is hardworking people making a product so good it is demanded the world over. That is real capitalism not the word stolen by opportunistic predatory profit thieves. The people that ruined decades of hard work by stealing again. Stealing the word capitalism to describe any kind of action that built profits by deception from laws they bought. Bernie represents too much of real life than to be hurt by the past of a new convert. The only way to perceive an endorsement by an opposer is that the opposition is seeing the light.
