The Joe Rogan brouhaha does raise an interesting question

Is a candidate responsible for the words or actions of his prominent supporters? Where do you draw the line? I don't know. I have seen several primaries at DU and these issues always come up. It came up when Barack Obama was endorsed by the homophobic gospel singer Donnie McClurkin and boxing great Floyd Mayweather who was charged with domestic assault. It came up with Clinton supporters like actor and football great Jim Brown who was charged with throwing a woman out a window.

To be fair partisans use these endorsements as cudgels but bigotry and domestic abuse sucks ass and should be called out whenever it raises its ugly head.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The candidate himself?

The campaign staff?

Surrogates used at rallies?

Endorsements promoted by the campaign?

The candidate is responsible for all of the above.

What Bob from NJ posts on a forum?

Nope.

of course they don't control who endorses them.

With the Joe Rogan endorsement, relevant data would be whether or not Sanders supporters have embraced him and have pushed this endorsement forward as evidence that Sanders is the most excellent candidate of all time because he can draw votes from people who hate the Democratic party.
