and yes that booklet was by Obama's literary agent in 1991, well before the birther movement. Verified by snopes.

Youre undoubtedly aware of the brouhaha stirred up by Breitbart about the erroneous statement in a client list Acton & Dystel published in 1991 (for circulation within the publishing industry only) that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me an agency assistant at the time, Goderich wrote. There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more.
He's a shock jock comedian but I'm not taking that one Tweet as proof that he is a birther, I've seen what republicans do to comedians like Michelle Wolf and Kathy Griffin.

(20,709 posts)If we only have people who have never said anything stupid or offensive in their lives voting for us, then we are going to lose in a landslide. Obviously I don't condone his birther post (apparently that based on some book editor who somehow wrote that Obama was born in Kenya in a bio, WTF, I hope that person got fired). (32,640 posts)That wouldn't pass muster here on DU, would it? One would have been told to find a source that wasn't RW racist, neo-nazi owned sewage for consumption by RWers, and not promote that shit where progressive, intelligent people converse, and called a Freeper troll. And rightly so.
Now, since, as you pointed out it was factual, wouldn't Rogan have had a wealth of other sources to tweet out?
Such as Snopes?

And you want to rationalize Rogan promoting a white supremacist rag like Brietbart because Breitbart "had a fact an article," which it then used to promote a racist conspiracy theory...
But hey, carry on...
(Nice straw man, by the way...)
And I didn't make up that Richard Spencer calls Rogan's views "mainstream." If it looks like a duck... and I didn't 'paint Rogan as another David Duke," but if the shoe fits, lace it on up.
