Joe Rogan is NOT going to vote for Bernie Sanders.

He has always supported Libertarian candidates in previous elections. In 2016, he championed Gary Johnson, for example. Why would anyone believe that he would vote for Sanders in 2020? More likely, he doesn't bother to vote at all.

I think he said he "might vote for Sanders," which is not really an endorsement. Not really.

on Netflix last night where he sounded like any other comedian. I also know that he has a favorable opinion of Bernie and many of his listeners have asked him to have him on again because they had no idea what Bernie was about other than.. socialism. I've never watched it but he had second most downloaded show in 2018. The Joe Rogan Experience has the highest unaided awareness of all podcasts among monthly podcast users and it now gets close to 200 million downloads per month when YouTube views are included in the count.

But you know who he has voted for, while ignoring the fact he said voting for Johnson was the exception and he said he votes for the Dem, he encouraged Tulsi Gabbard a DEMOCRAT to run for U.S. presidency in 2020. Therefore you know he's not a Democrat and you know he won't vote for Bernie.

I'm not sure how you think you can read his mind. He's voted mostly Democrat other than Gary Johnson, and he endorsed Bernie this time. But regardless of factual inaccuracies, I think it's great that Sanders has gotten the endorsement and vote of someone who previously voted libertarian. It shows that he is able to sway opinions of people who don't already agree with him.

More than that, it's not just the one Joe Rogan vote that matters, it's the fact that Joe Rogan has an audience of over 7 million people of mixed ideologies.

have real world consequences. Like Trump, Rogan specializes in increasing hate against the marginalized in society...we have dead Trans-women who heard the same shit Rogan spews in their last terrible moments. It make me sick to see people I respected for years support this guy. He endangers my kid who is gay every time he spews his sick shit. You think Gay people are made gay because they were molested and are likely to molest children as a result? I would say most here would say no...well this 'comedian' does...he has said it plenty of times. There is no excuse for supporting this shit. And I say again for shame Sanders and any who support Rogan...the shit stirring hate monger...

I assume you’ve heard a few clips. He doesn’t like Trump! I can’t remember him saying anything anti gay either except stupid gay jokes any comedian might say. If you’re offended by that, I get it. He says really awful things about Catholics (I’m Catholic) but I don’t let it bother me.

marriage but you know they (the other) are really gay because they were molested when kids and you know what, they are a danger to our kids because they might molest them. This is a heinous, terrible lie and can never be justified in any way;this is a hateful view of LGBTQ. Don't our LGBTQ brothers and sisters hear enough of this shit from the right? What are progressive jumping on the bigot bandwagon because some rich entitled hate spewing scumbag supported one of our candidates? Well I won't. He can mouth progressive platitudes that he doesn't really believe all he wants, but he is anti-LGBTQ, hates women (not the hot ones of course who could you know do all sorts of things) and people of color....You all can pretend he is like us because he supports Sanders (if he really does) but it is not true.

60. You assume wrong. I did listen as my son listened...and I was concerned about some of the crap
Tue Jan 28, 2020, 05:14 AM
Jan 2020

coming out of my son's mouth...and I walked by his door and was disturbed with what I head...I listened to much of his stuff...I have access to it. And I found it a pernicious hate filled rant...say what you want but this guy spreads hatred against POC, Gay people and Women...he is probably worse than Limbaugh...he makes it socially acceptable to hate and endangers those society loves to marginalize... and in the case of trans-women and Gay people. He makes it socially acceptable to sneer and believe bigoted lies about them. And, I mean the world would be a better place without those Gay child abusers and weird Trans-women...am I right?

It is a free country, listen to whom you chose. But just so you know, I won't support a candidate that thinks this guy Rogan's endorsement is something special in the primary. In fact, as Mineral Man said, I will actively campaign against him in the primary. Rogan's hate filled screeds mixed with a few progressive talking points makes the bigots feel good about themselves and their dark views... and encourages acceptance for these pernicious views. I have fought my entire life for social justice and civil rights. And it is beyond disturbing to learn that some progressives not only listen to this guy but agree with him. Seriously, I am horrified and saddened by this.

And this post is not about you or an accusation in any form..just an explanation of how I feel about Rogan's endorsement of Sanders and Sander's celebration of said endorsement. I don't know you or what you believe.

There was no need to include gay people in that but it’s just true that people who were abused are more likely to abuse. I would assume he threw gay people into that point in reaction to something the guest said. But tell me where the hate was there? It sounded like two people trying to talk something out. Tom Watson and everyone looked through 1400 3 hour podcasts and that out of context clip was the worst they could find? Really sad.

And I noticed you couldn’t win the original argument so you change the subject and resort to character assassination. This tactic is so tired and weak.

No one is saying Joe Rogan should be the standard bearer for the party by any stretch, but for you to act like he’s Michael Savage is really wrong. If we’re going to have a purity test for voters, we’re going to win zero elections in 2020.

16. She supported Warren this time...but still really liked Sanders. She liked both I think. And by celebrating Rogan's views, Sanders hurt her, she viewed it as a betrayal...as I said before isn't it enough that LGBTQ have to put up with this shit on the right? We shouldn't echo it by celebrating the endorsement of a bigot. Sanders can't control who endorses him (maybe endorses him) but how he responds is his decision.

I respond to things that are happening out there, just like many others on DU. This is a political discussion forum, so we discuss politics here. I have opinions. Probably you do, too, although I haven't seen many of your posts.

What do you wonder about with regard to me? Ask, and I'll answer.
