I thought we were looking for the best qualified candidate and the one with the best shot at defeating Shitler.

I didn't realize there were qualifiers that automatically eliminate the "wrong" kind of people! SMH

BTW I was a huge supporter of Hillary in 2016 and it wasn't because she was a woman, it was because I thought she was the best candidate for the job at the time.

Demographics do matter in terms of turnout, which is directly related to having the best shot at winning (i.e., turning out the Obama coalition and then some). And studies have made clear that the interests/concerns of women and persons of color are, generally speaking, best represented by women and persons of color in public office.

But there was nothing in my post that suggested I'm supporting Kamala Harris simply because she's a woman. Nice try, though.

There are others candidates who could win but Kamala is the best.

She has it all. Strong, smart, witty, no nonsense, experienced, excellent liberal/progressive background. I also really like her style and presence on a stage and in interviews. She has the look and feel of a leader.. like presidential. She also has a great campaign manager.

In the end, I'm voting for whichever democrat that ends up running against the traitor Trump of course.

Lots of people here seem to have the whole contest figured out ahead of time which is pretty amazing, I must say.

With their insightful power of foretelling the future, I wish they would give me the winning powerball number.

I sure could use the $$$!

We've had too many years of repugs getting all the news coverage. The 6:00 news tonight had a lengthy interview with Harris, a short interview with Gabbard, and a promotion of DeBlasio's visit tomorrow. Love it!
