big salary, good health care, 3 mil to run his office, big pension waiting, a driver ...I'd say he's living well under the so-called establishment he rails against. I wonder what his charitable donations are now that he's a millionaire.

And Ps. He's been in the senate for over 30 years...what has he done, really to change it?

he's not comfortable with our dysfunctional status quo despite his own personal success.

Bernie literally believes in "leave no one behind" something too many others in government have been quick to forget.

Certainly not in the European sense. Europeans consider him just another center-left regulated capitalist and scoff at his claims of being a socialist. He certainly isn't calling for the overthrow of capitalism like the DSA is.

It's always been a bit of a misnomer, and I'm not sure why he ever self-identified as such. Of course, he later added "democratic" to the term, but he's no more of a socialist now than he ever was.

That is some really great commercial branding, good copy, and very effective re-packaging of a consummate career politician judging by the number of people who are buying this particular bill of goods.
