(630 posts)WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH THE BIDEN CAMPAIGN!!!??? MY HAIR'S ON FIRE! Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Great poll, and another example of why Biden is going to be tough to beat. If, IF he loses some early states and/or California, he'll still be getting a good delegate haul from those states. Not the case for Sanders across the south.

(25,111 posts)on EC states. Democrats with keeping majority in other states, the EC states are extremely crucial. We must come out and vote in huge numbers. Republicans are right now aligning themselves with stealing and cheating for these states any means necessary.

A sub 15% outing in one state has a far greater impact than a narrow win in several

I mean... that's LESS than the 15% required to be considered "viable" and to receive any delegates from Florida, right? That's gotta hurt.

(19 posts)Do you realistically think that Biden will hold such a substantial lead up till the primary? I dont.
Whether Bernie is "Surging" or not, which just sounds dumb. Bernie is winning polls in early states after battling his way up. Bernie is winning in Iowa and NH because he campaigned, held rallies and faced the people of the state. No one has even set foot in Florida. Whos to say Biden doesnt fall when the people start actually campaigning in the state? Maybe Biden will stay at the top? I doubt he'll win this significantly.
Ya'll need to stop using this "Surging" nonsense every time you see Biden in the lead in a state no one has even stepped foot in just to be condescending. I get the majority is Biden but even the Bernie in the lead polls get bombarded with "Who cares" garbage.
Oh man...im probably opening up a can of worms here...

(38,687 posts)Hillary trounced him in 2016 w/ 64% of the vote.
South Florida w/ it's Hispanic population was over 70%. People don't like him. They think he's a communist.
Him too...
We love all 23 candidates. No, minus one. I profoundly dislike Bernie Sanders, and you can write it. I dont give a hoot. Hes a communist under the cover of being a socialist. He thinks that every billionaire is a crook. He calls us the billionaire class. And he attacks us indiscriminately. Its the billionaire class, the bad guys. This is how communists think. So, 22 are great. One is a disaster zone.
I cant deny the impact that Bernie has had on the Democratic Party. I love it when Bernie says, I recognize Israels right to exist. Thats how he expresses his support of Israel. Well, thank you so very much. Are you out of your freaking mind? Oh, Im allowed to live. Hallelujah, praise the lord.

I met the third on Twitter. Directed me to their site. DSA of something or other. I checked it out quickly then replied 'I noted no one puts their last names. good idea. You wouldn't want a youthful indiscretion to pop up in the future and ruin your life.'
No such luck for Bernie.

(38,687 posts)Bernie is not going to be able to hide his past. It will come out. It started in Israel for Bernie. At the kibbutz. The one that flew the Soviet red flag and sang the internationale at assemblies. The one no one wanted to go to. But Bernie.
"We also learn that relatively few people volunteered at the kibbutzim affiliated with Hashomer Hatzair before 1967, making Sanders 1963 visitation a rare exception among American volunteers."
"But in 1963 when Sanders worked on Hashomers kibbutz, its members considered themselves Marxist-Zionists, and they held a pro-Soviet orientation which included supporting Soviet foreign policy. Their ideological orientation on Zionism and socialism came not from the social democrats of the Socialist International, who were strongly anti-Communist and anti-fascist during the years of World War II (like Germanys Willy Brandt), but from a rather unknown figure, a Zionist named Ber Borochov".

Soviet foreign policy in 1963 was profoundly Anti-American. There are people walking around today with pieces of 1963 Soviet Foreign Policy embedded in their bodies from their time in Vietnam. This is a serious fuck-up. Disqualifying even.
Democratic megadonor Haim Saban :
'We love all 23 candidates. No, minus one. I profoundly dislike Bernie Sanders, and you can write it. I dont give a hoot. Hes a communist under the cover of being a socialist.'
https://mondoweiss.net/2019/07/democratic-candidate-sanders/
Saban full of shit? How about Noam Chomsky.
"Another young person who gravitated to the group was Noam Chomsky..." I liked the kibbutz life and the kibbutz ideals. In a Tablet interview conducted by David Samuels, Chomsky said he had gravitated to a Hashomer Hatzair kibbutz, but could never actually join it. That was because in those days they were split between Stalinist and Trotskyite, and I was anti-Leninist.
https://www.hudson.org/research/12194-bernie-s-adventures-on-a-stalinist-kibbutz
Split between Stalin and Trotsky. Two teams to decide from. Neither one good. Which did Bernie choose? Hint: It didn't begin with an 'S.' Chomsky said fuck that. Bernie didn't. Chomsky is a wise man. Bernie not so much.
The people who were there with him are still around in Israel. There are eyewitnesses. Israeli newspapers are the ones who dug and dug and discovered the name of the place after Bernie refused to divulge it when asked for years. He covered it up. Why?
Sanders might have a hard time explaining all this to Americans conservatives and liberals alike.
https://www.hudson.org/research/12194-bernie-s-adventures-on-a-stalinist-kibbutz
The liberals BTW are us. The Democratic party's philosophy is modern liberalism. Where is our explanation?
The digging continues. Recent Bernie inspired infatuation aside this is is not a good sell to voters. A former communist as President. Not going to happen. I'm chest deep in the human toll of communism. Married one. My brother and sister too. Work with them. Live among them. Socialize etc. They know one when they see one. I show them this:
Communista! Followed by a string of Spanish invectives. Some of which I'm familiar with from discussions with my ex.
This issue will come out. Saban is sitting out primaries. He'll be back for GE. He has strong ties to Israel. People will talk . They're probably talking right now. Bernie's Achilles Heel is there. He knows it. That's why he clammed up and never mentioned the name. His association with that kibbutz and its Stalinist idealogy could spell his doom. Why wait for GE?

(1,026 posts)I saw a video on YouTube called "Why Bernie Sanders' Communist Misadventures Still Matter" I won't post it here because he comes from a libertarian source. It's very well put together, as I watched it, it was clear to me the republicans would be all over that and no way Bernie could beat Trump. The overall American electorate won't go for that! especially in Florida.
