David Axelrod's take on Iowa... (from his HACKS ON TAP podcast)

Sanders has most enthusiastic supporters.

Warren has enthusiasm and the best ground operation.

Buttigieg also has a strong ground operation.

Biden has "affection" but not a lot of enthusiasm and the weakest ground operation of the top four.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Bernie's Iowa Campaign knocked on 136,000 doors in Iowa this past weekend … Warren has the best ground operation with regard to reaching out to the folks who traditionally attend caucuses …..Bernie's campaign is trying to target "first-timers" - Latinos , young people , the working class who have traditionally shunned attending the Iowa Caucus ...In other words, their goal has been to "expand the electorate" …...Bernie now has 314 paid staffers in Iowa and the most volunteers as well , not only Iowans but also from folks around the country... ….All indications are that Bernie is going to outperform the polls ...By how Much ?..We will find out Monday Night..

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
