New Monmouth IOWA poll finds Sanders' net favorability dropped nearly 20 points this month

https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/documents/monmouthpoll_ia_012920.pdf/

The Monmouth University Poll also finds that candidate favorability ratings have seen only small movements over the past two weeks, with one exception. Warren tops the ratings at 71% favorable and 21% unfavorable, followed by Buttigieg (68%-19%), Biden (68%-22%), Klobuchar (63%-18%), Yang (60%-17%), and Sanders (61%-32%). Steyer has a 50%-28% rating. Sanders has dropped from his high watermark of 70% favorable and 22% unfavorable earlier this month. His current rating is more in line with Iowa voter opinion last summer and fall.

Warren's net favorability is +50.
Buttigieg's is +49.
Biden's is +46.
Klobuchar's is +45.

Of those four, only Biden has seen an increase in net favorabiliy since early January. The other three lost a few points.

Now, on to Sanders...

Bernie Sanders' net favorability is +29. It was +48 in early January.

Democratic voters are taking a closer look at Sanders, and it's apparently disillusioning for some of them.

Thread yesterday about Morning Consult finding Sanders' favorability on the decline, especially with older voters (though they also found a small decline among younger voters), in just the last couple of weeks.

Biden is down 1% from the Monmouth Poll Iowa Poll taken in early January ….. Bernie's candidacy has surged since Warren claimed Bernie told her he did not think a woman could get elected President. ….But Bernie deferred his presidential aspirations in 2015, urging Liz to run for the High Office . HMM .....The Monmouth Iowa Poll has been the most Bernie unfriendly Iowa Poll of them all ….They had him down to just 8% support in August ...A ridiculously low-level of support that no serious observer believed was true … Monmouth is lowballing Bernie - as they have done during this entire cycle …. Bernie is doing between 5% and 7% better than the Monmouth Iowa Poll finding that his current level support is at 21%% …. Best Estimate : 26% -28%
