Presidential candidate Tom Steyer criticized former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday after seeing a video clip of a tense exchange between Biden and a man who said he planned to vote for Steyer in the Iowa caucuses.
In the clip, the man tells Biden he intends to vote for whichever candidate is the Democratic nominee but critiques his support for building energy pipelines, to which Biden responds by telling the man to go vote for someone else.
Do you believe that Bernie can do something by 2030? he goes on to ask the man, who responds Im actually supporting Tom Steyer.
This is no way to treat an Iowan. He said he'd vote for the Dem in the general b/c he knows how important it is to beat Trump, Steyer tweeted. We need immediate action on climate. If you don't agree, happy to talk @ debate. But don't take it out on voters we need to win in Nov.

While not a good response from Biden, it is understandable based on the scorch and burn lies and distortions that have been coming out of the Sanders campaign against Biden, via David Sirota and the Sanders surrogates on social media

(3,649 posts)I won't vote for him in the primary because I don't think billionaires with no political experience should run for the Presidency, but he seems to be a decent guy.

(19 posts)Hes done this multiple times. He grabs hands, he points his finger in your chest and lately hes been doing that small punch thing.
Its weird. Its uncomfortable and even if this guy is goading Biden, he'd benefit from keeping his hands to himself.

(24,122 posts)Joe needs to learn to keep his cool... Bernie's ability to do that is just ONE more reason why he's the most electable candidate vs President Pig Vomit.

(31,261 posts)Joe kept asking the guy a key question and the guy kept evading.
I saw that Joe handled it well. Joe didn't "poke" him in the chest in a hostile manner like the guy claimed. Joe is a touchy-feely type of guy and he kept gently touching the guy as Joe was trying to get him to listen.
