Only one candidate has net positive favorability among D's, R's, and I's

This is pretty much my last-ditch elevator pitch as we head into Iowa. There is one and only one Democratic candidate who is viewed more favorably than unfavorably among Democrats, Republicans, and Independents: Andrew Yang.

We need to create a market economy that puts humanity first. Andrew Yang is the candidate to do that. We need to peel off Republicans from the sick authoritarian cult of Trump. Andrew Yang at least starts out with the best shot at doing that.

We live in the richest country in the world, but we live with a bizarre scarcity mentality. We need to stop that. We need to take the boot of immediate want off the throats of the voters. Yang's proposed Freedom Dividend does exactly that.

We all know not to go to the grocery store hungry. Let's build a democracy where people don't go to the voting booth worried about meeting the necessities of life the next week.

Anyways, while I admire pretty much all of our candidates, this is my pitch for Andrew Yang. I think he's a great person, who would be an exceptional President, and he has my support in this primary.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

1. I like Yang. I hope he hangs in the race for a while yet. His ideas fit our times and the future.

If he's willing, I think he has a significant future in national leadership.

2. I like Yang. But I don't see him winning.

I do see him endorsing Bernie in the primary after he drops out and being a valuable surrogate.

I also see him being valuable to whoever becomes the nominee for the general election.

I do fear he holds the same naivete' as Obama had initially about what level of cooperation to expect from the R's.

5. Case in point: he was left off the Ohio ballot because of an administrative screw-up

He's organizing a write-in campaign in Ohio, which he says is helped by "our many wonderful volunteers, our positive mission for a stronger country, and the fact that my last name is incredibly easy to spell".

I love that.

6. If he's so great, let him run for Senate

Let him run for the house, for governor, mayor, dogcatcher - Put in ONE term as an actual elected official SOMEWHERE. Even Jesse Ventura was a mayor before becoming Governor of Minnesota.

Put another billionaire with no experience into the office of the most powerful leader in the world?

NEVER AGAIN.

While Yang has no experience in public office, which I find disqualifying, at least he has a law degree which puts him far far ahead of some other, similarly situated candidates.
