Washington Post - Bernie Sanderss Trump-Like Campaign Is A Disaster For Democrats.
"Former South Bend, Ind., mayor Pete Buttigieg is the youngest Democratic presidential candidate; Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is the oldest (roughly double Buttigiegs age). Buttigieg consistently demonstrates a mature understanding of how one unites a party and builds a winning general-election coalition. Sanders seems clueless."
"Appearing at a Fox News town hall on Sunday, Buttigieg told the audience that we can send a message to people who are telling us that we have to choose between our head and our heart, that we have to choose between what it takes to govern and what it takes to win, or that we have to choose between unity and boldness in this country." While he has defended himself against attacks from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and against the argument that he lacks age and maturity, Buttigieg has rarely gone negative on any opponent. That is extraordinary in a primary as close and competitive as this one. He understands at the end of the process, the bare minimum he must do is unite the party before turning to every persuadable voter."
"The polar opposite of this is Sanders and his fleet of Bernie Bros who slash and burn, attack and smear other Democrats. The New York Times reports on Sanderss swarm of online supporters, who have waged vicious and personal attacks on his critics, often focusing on feminist women. Some progressive activists who declined to back Mr. Sanders have begun traveling with private security after incurring online harassment. Several well-known feminist writers said they had received death threats, the Times explains. A state party chairwoman changed her phone number. A Portland lawyer saw her business rating tumble on an online review site after tussling with Sanders supporters on Twitter."
"While he might perfunctorily chide his followers, Sanders hired one of social medias most aggressive trolls, David Sirota. Sanders cannot possibly mean to control the divisive rhetoric and animosity spewing from his camp while hiring people infamous for such conduct."

(1,812 posts)Her hatred of Bernie Sanders is becoming increasingly unhinged . Rubin's support for endless Middle Eastern wars exemplifies her unsound judgement As for her prediction that young people were going to discard Bernie Sanders in favor of Beto O'Rourke - a full demonstration of her manifest incompetence as a political analyst .

"The Socialist Workers Party (SWP) is known as a communist party in the United States. Originally a group in the Communist Party USA that supported Leon Trotsky against Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, it places a priority on "solidarity work" to aid strikes and is strongly supportive of Cuba. The SWP publishes The Militant, a weekly newspaper that dates back to 1928. It also maintains Pathfinder Press."

Report: Sanders supported far-left party blaming US for Iranian hostage crisis
<snip>
"Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders had aligned himself with a Trotskyist revolutionary party back in the early 80s which defended the Iranian revolution of 1979 and accused the CIA of staging the hostage crisis, Daily Beast reported on Friday.
The declaration of the Islamic Republic of Iran took place on April 1, 1979. On November 4, 52 American diplomats and citizens, including citizens of other countries, were taken hostage at the US Embassy in Tehran in what ensued as a major crisis that lasted 444 days.
Most political factions in the US were united in the struggle to release the hostages except for the Socialist Workers Party (SWP). After leaving the tiny left-wing Liberty Union Party of Vermont in 1977, the veteran Vermont senator joined SWP in 1980, became its presidential elector in his home state, and had conducted numerous campaigns for it, Daily Beast reported.
In one instance, the SWPs presidential candidate, Andrew Pulley, condemned anti-Iranian hysteria around the US hostages at the University of Vermont in October 1980, chaired by Sanders."

A hit peice on Sanders by Jennifer Rubin should come as no surprise. If you google Jennifer Rubin + Bernie Sanders (see link below) it will come up with pages of links to negative articles about Bernie Sanders that she has written.. It's like one stop shopping for Bernie haters (you are welcome).

Jennifer Rubin clearly doesn't like Bernie Sanders. However millions of us do. In my experience we are not the deragatory and I would say mythical "Bernie Bros".

(37,364 posts)in her opposition to Trump. I respect and honor her willingness to take a stand in tough times. She is entitled to her opinions, all of them, whether you agree with her or not. I happen to share her opinion on Sanders. We are not obligated to support Sanders when we disagree with him. I think he's a demagogue and is not able to fulfill the promises he makes because he's not able to work with others when it counts. Attracting people to hear a speech doesn't fall in this category. I caucus next week. He obviously is not my first choice or my second. He's very far down on my viability list. And I expect you to respect that I disagree with you.
