That seems pretty impressive!
Mayor Pete has raised over $7 million in the first quarter -- which is also impressive, since his position as mayor has not given him a high national profile till recently.
ON UPDATE: From the NY Times.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/01/us/politics/kamala-harris-fundraising-2020.html
Senator Kamala Harris announced Monday night that her 2020 campaign raised $12 million in her first two-plus months running for president, a sum that is expected to vault her into the top tier of financial competitors in the wide-open Democratic primary.
Ms. Harris, a first-term senator from California, invested heavily building an online network of donors in the two years leading up to her launch, spending millions of dollars to increase the size of her email supporter list. Her campaign said more than $6 million of her fund-raising about half of her total came from her digital program, including $1.1 million in the last week.
Candidates must disclose their fund-raising figures for the first quarter of 2019 by April 15, though many release them earlier in an attempt to position themselves better politically ahead of the full report.
Ms. Harriss campaign said she had received 218,000 contributions in total and that 98 percent of her contributions were under $100. Her average donation was about $55. Her campaign did not say how much of her total those small contributions accounted for.

(35,454 posts)as they are of the amounts the boys raised. Could Santor Harris turn out to be the real sleeper in this election?

She's working hard, like the tortise and the hare. A lot of candidats are new and shiney right now. I expect Harris to build up strong support and infrastructure to her campaign. Eventually we'll get to the debates, and then many more will meet her.
My guess is she'll be in the top three.

The media isn't any better, despite her competetiveness with the 'leading' men in several important measures.

Kamala is doing an amazing job. She's attracting crowds and money but there's really not much attention. It's frustrating, but I think the people will have the final say.
