Prediction

If Mayor Pete upsets Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire he will get an enormous amount of press attention and leap frog Chump in head to head polls. That's what happened in 1984 when Gary Hart upset Walter Mondale in New Hampshire. He led Reagan in head to head polling at the time. And Reagan was infinitely more popular than Chump.

The bump might be ephemeral but it will be substantial.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

If Pete wins NH.... the air of "winner" will surround him for the 10 days before Nevada. His poll numbers among black and brown people will then improve dramatically, because their #1 priority above all else is to nominate a "winner" who can beat Trump.
