Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumThe Looming Sanders vs Bloomberg Showdown?
Last night on CNN, Van Jones said that Democrats worse nightmare would be a Sanders versus Bloomberg showdown at or leading up to the convention. He claims it would fatally divide the party going into the General Election. He pitched it as a "Bernie versus the Billionaire" divisive battle of class interests.
Such a faceoff seems possible, but would it really be a nightmare?
On a side note, if the nomination contest does come down to Sanders versus Bloomberg, that will make history with A Jewish candidate becoming President for the first time here in the US.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

(19,095 posts)Sanders is not my first choice, but hes the front runner now and I will campaign for him. Just because I think that if Sanders isnt the candidate that a significant and decisive number of Sanders supporters wont support the winner doesnt mean we shouldnt all get behind Sanders. Hes got great ideas and will be a good president and save our Democracy from Trump. Most of his more extreme ideas will never become law anyways.
