...whether the counties as a whole (which include Republicans who would not have participated in the Dem caucus) would move to Biden over Trump; nor does it tell us how many of these voters who WOULD pick Biden over Trump would NOT also pick Sanders over Trump.

I don't see where this state is useful at all. Unless there's much deeper info available, which may be further down in the article than I was able to read because of the paywall.
