Bernie--heart's definitely in it, a tough fighter, but lots of people have qualms about him.
Warren--heart is in it, but doesn't always have the best political skills or instincts.
Amy K--might be too ordinary of a personality to compete with star power.
Pete--Largely untested, unvetted, feels like a false media-hyped Obama-mania balloon that can be quickly popped.
Bloomberg--Hard to say right now, he's not really "in it" yet. But may have a skeleton or two.
Yang--interesting guy, but needs to run for some other office first.

primary today, I would vote for:

I don't know who our eventual candidate will be, but I don't want them to be in chopped up little pieces to hand over to trump to finish off.

We know, first of all, that whomever we pick, whoever gets the proverbial 'nod,' will have to endure constant baiting, insults, threats and a succession of 'special' talking points Trump's propaganda organs have been preparing to ejaculate during the campaign.

The question is not to express those things as weaknesses but to find ways to make them strengths.

For instance, let's look at my candidate, Elizabeth Warren. Trump calls her Pocahontas, says she's a socialist. Since she advocates Medicare for All, tens of millions, hundreds of millions of dollars will be lined up against her, courtesy of the health insurance industry and big pharma. She advocates taxing wealth and so various superpacs that represent the billionaire parasites will be trying to ratfuck her campaign like crazy. In addition, the media has been ghosting her because their corporate owners are afraid of her policies.

So how do we turn all that around?

- Trump calls her Pocahontas because she scares him. Strong women scare him. Every time he calls her that he is showing himself to be a fearful little boy, as well as a racist.

- She will be called a socialist. Oh, how that SCARES people on here! And it is meant to. We are supposed to have a knee-jerk negative reaction against the dreaded SOSH-A-LIZM every time any talking head or pol brings it up. We've been carefully coached, don't you know. So what we say back to this is, "So...you're saying policies that ensure that all Americans have healthcare are bad? And policies that ensure that your children and grandchildren can go to college without worrying about getting buried in debt? Those are bad?"

- And the wealth tax, the repeal of the giant tax cut for billionaire parasites? Try, "And you're saying that trickle down economics actually WORKS? Tell me, how is your life better right now? Oh, Wall Street is doing great, but do YOU have enough to pay the bills?"

We need to stop being on the defensive with these people. They spout just a few 'talking points' and have been coached to shout down, to talk over, anyone arguing with them. So we shout louder. We challenge them line by line. Point by point.

And we get it out on social media - Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and all the others. We have our own superpacs and we use them to run ads on Fox. We work, STARTING NOW, to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote a) checks their registration to make sure it is still valid, b) if not gets the necessary documents to become registered, and then registers, and c) we make provisions on election day to get people to the polls, and in the case of voter suppression causing long lines, d) bring chairs, snacks and water so that people don't faint and stick it out in line.

We have lawyers at precincts where voter suppression is worst, and we go nose to nose with any Nazi assholes that are there to intimidate voters.

We pull out ALL the stops. All of them. We have to stop being nice guys and start fighting back.

Because if we don't we will lose this republic. And make no mistake. Trump and his people are Nazis in all but name. His hard-core supporters are white supremacists who would dearly love to usher in a dictatorship, impose a white nationalist theocracy on us, and have another Holocaust. You think I'm kidding? They have all the guns, and we'll have brown shirts in the streets if we're not careful.

It's almost upon us, and we will have to fight for our country. It makes little difference to me who our candidate is, either. Doesn't matter. What matters is we have to win. We have to win the presidency, the Senate and most down ticket races - right down to dogcatcher. Democrats make GREAT dog catchers! And great coroners. Great sheriffs. Great county clerks. Definitely good school board members!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
