The VERY best argument for why @ewarren should be our next president is right here: Shes running to save America from itself, not stroke her own ego.
The men in this race desperately want to be POTUS. @ewarren is the ONLY candidate running for POTUS *as a means to make change*.

(13,776 posts)She's so positive, full of energy, cheerful, interested in people, smart, committed to making lives better... to me she is the exact president I would want. So to me it would be a terrible shame if she didn't win. And I wondered whether she'd be sad about it too, like wondering "what else could I have done?"
I love her answer and I can totally imagine her face and tone as she said it!
I love her to bits!

(628 posts)Because what is the point of going on when you cannot place well in your neighboring state and the future outlook is bleak at best?
She might be the best choice to be President but how often do the best choices make it. This is about finding someone to beat Trump and while we all thought Biden was the answer 10 months ago we are now all scared because I'm not sure I see a candidate other than Bloomberg that has a shot of beating Trump. And Pete having the 2nd best chance. Biden 3rd
But if I could wave a magic wand and pick the President I probably would pick Warren.

(5,444 posts)as well as idealism to improve everyone's life. My fear is that she's almost too straightforward to win against manipulative politician types driven by ambition. She is also the only candidate to espouse goals similar to the "social democrats" in the Nordic countries: a market economy with substantial social programs for the common good.

(373 posts)Impressive woman and an impressive background. She understands the poor because she has been poor. She understands the challenges of being a woman in modern society. She knows that dramatic change is necessary, but thinks it's all very possible if we apply our smarts and hearts.
She hurt herself by being too honest about her plans. Should have kept everything nebulous, probably, like some. They describe the problems, then say trust me! Where have I heard that before?
My trust in the American people got blown up in 2016.

(13,390 posts)If we want real contrast between our candidate and Trump, she offers the most. We have an opportunity here and I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised by fellow voters as this primary progresses. As of now, I am really unsure of where we are headed but I tend to lean towards cynicism lately.

(11,257 posts)She's the perfect balance of Bernie's policy views, while still a loyal Democrat who has a history of working well with others and not calling herself a socialist as a gimmick.
She should be running away with it right now.

(13,426 posts)The Bernie Bros hate her for a different reason - her gender.
So Warren has to thread a needle of people on the left who demand intelligent, detailed progressive change for the country.

(757 posts)She seems far and away the most authentic, very smart/brilliant candidate. She knows what needs to be done for We the People. She isn't "fake it until you make it" like I get from some of the candidates. She is vibrant and healthy. We need her to be president, in so many ways. The most, perhaps, is to elevate women and reinforce concept that women are not JUST baby makers.
