Half-assing it in states you have basically already written off (e.g., Iowa and New Hampshire) seems less productive than skipping them entirely and going to South Carolina and working to ensure an overwhelming victory there.

Giuliani skipped the early states entirely and he basically staked everything on Florida, where he was never the clear-cut leader like Biden has been in South Carolina.

every pundit on radio and TV has been referring to South Carolina as Joe's firewall for months.
