Klobuchar releases 12 years of tax returns

Amy Klobuchar released a dozen years worth of tax returns Monday, joining a handful of other 2020 contenders who are making their financial disclosures public.

The Minnesota Democrat posted her family's tax returns, from 2017 to 2006, when she was first elected to the Senate. Klobuchar, on a webpage devoted to her tax documents, said that "transparency and accountability are fundamental to good governance."

In 2017, Klobuchar and her husband, Jonathan Bessler, an attorney and law school professor, earned just under $300,000, and they paid just over $62,000 in federal taxes, the documents show.

Publishing tax returns has risen in significance for Democrats since President Donald Trump refused to release his tax documents during the 2016 presidential campaign, prompting questions about his financial investments. Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee have all released their tax returns.

Last week, Gillibrand became the first presidential contender to release this year's tax filings. Inslee has also done so. The deadline for 2018 tax filings is April 15, so some returns may not have been completed as of yet.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Didn't take her three years, and didn't have any "mechanical issues". Good for her being forthright and up front about her income tax return and her income sources and investments.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
He seems to be very reluctant, and I am not sure why.
This should raise a flag for his supporters, but it doesn't seem to be doing so.
In that case, explain to us skeptics why he should have a pass.
I don't care how boring those records are... 2020 is far too important to take a chance. We need full transparency this time around to be sure we nominate the best possible candidate to go up against the Dick-Tator-in-Chief.
"Observe: noses were made to support spectacles, hence we have spectacles. Legs, as anyone can plainly see, were made to be breeched, and so we have breeches. Stones were made to be shaped and to build castles with; thus My Lord has a fine castle, for the greatest Baron in the province should have the finest house; and since pigs were made to be eaten, we eat pork all year round. Consequently, those who say everything is well are uttering mere stupidities; they should say everything is for the best."
Are you willing to take a guess about what "soon" is?
Why wait for when 2018 is due and filed to release 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, the REST of 2014 (yes, he released 7 pages but that still isn't his COMPLETE 2014 return), the "promised" 2015, 2016, and 2017?
It's only been three years since he promised 2015, what's the delay?
