Theres less than a week left to register to vote in the March 3 primary.
Feb. 18 is officially the last day to register to vote in California in order to vote in the upcoming presidential primary election. The Humboldt County Office of Elections is extending its hours until 6:30 p.m. to help those who want to register to vote, according to a news release from the elections office.
Voting is one of our most fundamental rights as citizens, said Kelly Sanders, registrar of voters, in a statement. The Office of Elections is here to answer your questions, register you to vote, and make sure you are ready to make your voice heard on Election Day.
You can register to vote online at registertovote.ca.gov before midnight on Feb. 18 or you can sign and return paper registration forms available at post offices, public libraries and the elections office by mail, but make sure theyre postmarked Feb. 18 in order for them to be accepted, according to the release.
