I still adore Elizabeth but my mind is playing over the idea of a Klobochar-Castro ticket.

Amy for the midwest states that Trump won and Julian for Texas and Hispanic voters everywhere in this country. Am I crazy?

I like Amy and she recognizes her flawed record and says it was wrong and should be rectified. Julian, as far as I know, is a good man whose experience as HUD secretary under Obama was fine and has bona fides with the Hispanic community.

Are their Ivy League backgrounds (Amy Yale undergrad, Julian Harvard Law) going to be attacked by the Trumpsters? I guess so, but what's so awful about that?

Did I leave something awful out of my understanding about these two candidates?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Nobody has all the marbles and I don't think anyone will. I think this will boil down to a strategy contest.

Jeez, we gotta figure this thing out, folks. This is my offering of food for thought.

Are there examples in the past where candidates emerge at the right place and the right time when we Dems get down to hard strategies. We have the best candidates, we do, damnit!

Not this year. Beating Trump is the overriding goal for primary voters, it seems to me. There's not much assurance that Amy Klobuchar can do that. She might, of course, but it's far from a sure thing.

She'll probably do pretty well in Minnesota's primary on March 3, but I doubt she'll win, even in her home state.

I'd like to see a woman as a VP choice, whoever gets the nomination. Klobuchar's age and popularity would seem to make her a good choice, from my perspective, but I'm not the candidate, so I don't know.

Win Texas based on rallying the Hispanic vote. We'd be crazy not to do this.

Edit to add: Two Yalies on your ticket...I love Yale and I live in New Haven but I think it might be a bit much out on the campaign trail. Or maybe not...just my take...

Wait until March 4 before changing allegiances - a lot could happen in the interim.
