I think the rise of Bloomberg shows with no doubt that the

ability to take on Trumpass reigns supreme in people’s minds.

It is not about plans. It is not about policy. It is not about unifying the country.

It is who can kick trumps ass. All candidates should be taking note.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Hillary had enough policies for ten candidates, yet Trump won on a few simple phrases like MAGA, build the wall, and only he could change the country back to the one white people wanted. If Trump had actual policies, I don‘t remember them. Rather, he used 5th grade name calling to belittle people, and used his rallies to rail against Democrats and liberals. His supporters at least thought he was entertaining. I personally thought at the time, and still do, that he is a gross lying piece of crud. But he won with essentially no policies. Bloomberg is making promises about healthcare without going into great detail about the what and when. He is also punching Trump in the gut, just where it hurts his pitiful snowflake ego.

I was just listening to an NPR segment on voting, and the guest (I didn’t get a name) was saying that many people think that politics is boring and they just don’t get interested enough to bother voting. He gave an example of the Massachusetts election of Scott Brown. Even though it was important for Democrats to hold onto the 60-seat count in the Senate, Democrats who had come out to vote for Obama just stayed home, allowing a Republican to take this seat in blue Massachusetts. His point was that people get energized to vote when a rock star candidate is on the ballot. Who is our rock star?

1. Will sign any hard fought for Democratic Party championed legislation that will get through Congress.
2. Will VETO any Republican led legislation the same.
3. Will make smart appointments.
4. Will reverse the damage of trump executive orders, and reinstate each and every fucking one Tramp cancelled from Obama just to add salt to it.
5. Will focus on foreign policy with a smartly selected cabinet that starts repairing our image abroad.

Frankly, I feel fairly confident in all of our primary candidates for meeting the 5 requirements I have..

The only one firing bombs at Trump is Bloomberg. The other candidates are repeating the same losing mantra we heard in 2016, "when they go low, we go high". You're not going to win that way. Call Trump a clown and go after his orange face. Drive him crazy. Bernie and everyone else keeps calling him a billionaire and it buys into the hype that he's actually a billionaire which he isn't, where Bloomberg is saying he's not a billionaire. My landscaper / gardener is originally from Mexico. I have known him since the mid-80s. He and his wife run their business, and we always have great discussions when they come to my house

And of course they are against Trump. We always get into politics a little bit every time they are here.

So this time they asked me what I thought about Mike.
And for about a minute I couldn't connect Mike and Bloomberg, and then it finally hit me who they were talking about.

They didn't know his last name, but they knew his commercials. The commercials alone got them to pay attention to him. Where I live, Bloomberg ads are on TV constantly. I am guessing no matter where you are in the United States, you are experiencing the same thing.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting that his commercials are working. People who had never heard of him are sitting up and taking notice. And I have a feeling he's going to get a couple of votes from my friends.

everything is “rigged” if Democrats don’t open the party to him, which they call “Independent.” Now that others like Bloomberg have figured out that scheme, they are using it, too. Can’t have it both ways. It looks like Bloomberg is beating Bernie at his own game.

Imagine how many millions of voters would become “Independent” if they are faced with socialism and how it will be framed by the opposition. Look what happened to Warren’s poll numbers when she started applying costs to her plans...something Bernie has avoided. Republicans will fill in those blanks, we can count on that.

They do not seem to be IN this fight or they do not recognize that TRUMP is their only opponent and that BULLYING him - I mean punching him HARD with FACTS (not propaganda, lies or bullshit) about his mobster, criminal behavior is more important in this election than their individual policy plans. Only Bloomberg gets it. Only Bloomberg is DOING it.

We have to out fund, Murdock, Kochs, Russia, Saudies, NRA, Turkey, Exxon, Religion, and all GOP billionaires. We did not create this playing field. Mom and pop Donors will not be able to defeat this evil. The billion dollar Depth Star propaganda site ran by Pascal alone will be hard to match. Bloomberg is willing to spend, donate to down tickets, and continue even if he is not the nominee. We have no problem spending $800 plus billion a year to defend our country. War ain't cheap. And we are at war with the entire GOP machine. If you hate Bloomberg, open your wallet, and help match the weapon of our enemy.

Myself, I want to get rid of trump just as much as anyone else does but I also want to uphold my principles. I don't for a minute believe that Bloomberg is the only one who can beat Trump. consider an unapologetic racist will be the worst thing we could do. But our willingness to do so in itself will ruin our party and any credibility we have in making a case against Trump. In the end, Bloomberg will lose us the election. Thus, we will have sacrificed several excellent candidates only to get four more years of Trump. And be left with a severely damaged party.

Once we have the Oval and Senate back whoever presides (Bloomberg may make it) can then allow 'the People" to have their voices heard after we are safely free from Trump.
We need to right this ship before it is too late. A mistake would end our America. We should not be talking about free college or medicare for all right now. Our focus has to be to topple the authoritarian government that has been forming right under our noses.

Constitutional rights of black and Latinx youth and of Muslims. His two sweeping programs denied these two groups their civil liberties. Stop and Frisk was declared unconstitutional. The FBI got him
to stop his spy and surveillance program against Muslims.

He has said he believes as needed that we should change our laws and our interpretation of the constitution. He did exactly that in New York.

What will he do on a national level in the guise of a crime fighting measure or counter-terrorism?

His racist belief system, anti-civil liberties stance, close association with Republican policies and people, and blatant women-hating should disqualify him from running as a Democratic candidate.

Especially if they do good works.

Bloomberg has pledged to give 'nearly all" of his fortune to good causes. Most billionaires, including fellow media mogul Rupert Murdoch, tend to keep their money and leave it to their descendants.

Others like Bloomberg, Warren Buffet, and Bill Gates do the same.

I am not wealthy , but I have spent a career interacting with wealthy people. It is true that money is not one of their problems. But there is a plethora of emotional and personal interactions with others that in those instances they wish they were us.

I assure you that wealth does not buy happiness.

It might be a good idea this time around to let Trump compete with his master. oF ALL OF THE CANDIDATES THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN-----AND HAS---PUT Trump IN HIS PLACE.

Between these candidates including Bloomberg. I would say they probably agree on 90% of the issues. With Bloomberg you get a media savvy billionaire with his own deep pockets making him independent of any special interest because he can self finance everything. All those resources can be focused on down ballot candidates. Rolling out massive structural changes to the economy (Medicare for all) is just not a wise move at this time and seems to add a lot of unnecessary

This is not an ordinary election.

Despite the pundits and talking heads, the 'beating Trump's ass' has been at the forefront of the primary and will continue throughout. Because we're fighting for our lives as a country, a people. Most Dem voters know, regardless of Trump and his pals skating around the rule of law, that this Administration is an organized criminal enterprise, that our institutions are being deliberately and systematically dissembled by a bunch of crooks and ideologues.

Losing is not an option if we want a future. 2020 will be a referendum on Donald Trump and his cabal, not policy or elaborate legislative plans.

Wake up, America! We've only 9 months to put this right. The ultimate result will be rebirth or a final kiss goodbye.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
