What I learned during my precinct early voting this am in NV.

People were in line before opening at 10:00. There will certainly be much more turnout then last years caucus. People did NOT want to sit for hours. This should spell the end of another caucus. The line was 1.5 times longer going out then coming in.

The process was slow. Took an hour wait. You had to sign in on a google form and paper ballot. There certainly are safeguards, so I’m not worried about an Iowa redo.

Everyone was on board with team blue in November, no matter the candidate.

The only campaign with volunteers outside was Warren. Seemed like a good sign for her, as people were stopping by.

The only other group to show up was the Girl Scouts. With full disclosure, my first vote went to thin mints, and the second went to toffee tastic. No third choice, because I’ll be fat enough already after the first two boxes.

Should be a great week here in NV.

It’s kind of like a mini satellite, except those votes are counted with the regular precincts instead of being separate. I get counted as if I was there next Saturday. If my first choice isn’t viable, my vote automatically switches to my second choice.

So it’s either all the way with Amy K. Or a cup of Joe.

So it goes to my #3 choice.

I guess that if all my 5 choices aren’t viable, then my vote wouldn’t matter anyways.

The result would be that everyone else in my precinct chose the one still running major candidate I didn’t, or that Gabbard/Yang/Bennet somehow had a miracle attendance record.

Does Nevada have a caucus AND an election? If you vote early can you still attend the caucus and vote? And if you attend the caucus but change your mind later can you re-vote?

Cheyenne,yes it was a bit slow. Only saw three or four bail out. Yes it took a while,but,did not see anyone getting agitated like four years ago. BTW,the Voter mix was a true cross section of Las Vegas. Styer had a Mariachi Band and Table as well as a Food Truck out side the School. Interesting.

Four years ago,the Caucus took about three plus hours before we wrapped things up. Spouse and I stood in line about a hour max. It is after all our country and to make changes,one has to do their duty and Vote
