Elizabeth Warren @ewarren Mike Bloomberg is a billionaire who thinks he can drop a bunch of money

Elizabeth Warren is the candidate who understand the policies we need, understands the corruption within and is ready to bring the remedies to millions of Americans who desperately need an advocate.

Warren 2020!!!

"Warren would create a federal licensing system for the purchase of any type of gun or ammunition."

"Warren, who is in the top tier of Democratic presidential candidates, wrote in the plan that she intends to do the following using executive action:

Require background checks for gun purchasers who buy at gun shows or online
Apply the 18-and-up age restriction on gun purchases to more sales
Close the so-called “boyfriend loophole” – current law bars abusive spouses from obtaining weapons, but does not apply to all abusive dating partners
Direct the attorney general to prosecute unlawful gun trafficking and investigate the National Rifle Association for alleged corruption
Direct the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to revoke the licenses of gun dealers that are found to routinely violate the rules
She wrote she would push for the following legislative steps:

Create a federal licensing system for the purchase of any type of gun or ammunition
Boost the excise tax on handguns to 30% from 10% and on ammunition to 50% from 11%
Establish a one-week waiting period for all gun purchases
Increase the minimum age to 21 for all gun sales
Prohibit anyone convicted of a hate crime from owning a gun"

I'd happily pick Warren over Bloomberg in the primary for a number of reasons. Here is a couple just off the top of my head:

Sen. Warren isn't a NYC billionaire with autocratic tendencies.

Sen. Warren doesn't have a history of intensive support for stop-and-frisk and other assault on civil liberties(almost entirely POC).

Sen. Warren doesn't have a history of support for redlining.

Sen. Warren doesn't have a history of opposing medicare, medicaid, social security, or medicaid for all.

Sen. Warren doesn't have a history of rampant sexual harassment allegations.

Sen. Warren doesn't have a history of being perceived of contemptuous of her constituency.

Sen. Warren doesn't have a history of being opposed to taxation on the rich.

Sen. Warren is no Mike Bloomberg.

So yeah, President Warren sounds fantastic to me the more I think about it.

"We are faced, as so often of late, with white social-media commentators being woker on race than the black people they mean to support. Black America is coming around to Bloomberg in poll after poll, apparently unaware of the new wisdom that one unwise policy on race must render a man eternally dismissible even after multiple apologies.

The truly enlightened response to any pious insistences that Bloomberg be sent home over stop-and-frisk is to ask: Even if it means letting Trump have a second term? People who say yes will reveal themselves as fringe extremists, while the harrumphing of those less forthright will illuminate the difference between striking a pose for posterity and working for the better in an imperfect world."

You know good and well no one can say they won't without getting banned so all you're doing is trolling by saying that. I won't dignify that bullshit with a response of any kind from here on out.

The only other thing I'll add is that real Democrats better make sure we won't nominate a man who is basically Trump minus the mental illness and a veneer of politeness. The super-delegates existed for purposes of keeping such a person from being nominated and I hope they shut Bloomberg down if it comes to that.

"Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters sees little difference in Bloomberg using his fortune and others tapping donors

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters defended Mike Bloomberg’s right to self-finance his presidential campaign Thursday on CNBC, suggesting the billionaire’s own money was not much different from money raised by other candidates.

“We live in a democracy, unless it’s undermined by this president who doesn’t know what he’s doing,” Waters said on “The Exchange.” “The democracy, and the way it gives everybody an opportunity, is what we basically believe in."
