Bloomberg is certainly not my first choice, but I will vote for him against Trump should he get the Democratic nomination. That said, I do like how Bloomberg is fighting back against Trump with superior insults. You need to counter-punch against a bully like Trump, and Bloomberg has been doing a pretty good job at that. So, I appreciate some of what Bloomberg is doing.

This reminds me of the Obama kerfuffle about "you didn't make that". The point was that, without the "commons" that we all contribute to, none of these guys would be billionaires!

Edit to add: And it's past time for them to give some of it back!

he can go as low as he needs to go to destroy trump. The idea that one of the richest people (and arguably smartest) in the world is willing to do anything to destroy trump with no monetary limit, is incredible. gop doesnt have that level of dedication. Bloomie also promised to help with senate races. We are talking about as much as 10B+ being pumped for our cause. If successful, this would make him the greatest philantropist ever lived.

which is some pocket change for Bloomie. In fact, the entire spending for ALL congressional races including presidential in 2016 was about 6B - total for both sides. Again, pocket change for Bloomie. We are lucky. We are about to find out how much money truly matter in shaping public opinion.

but sadly a lot of people just don't care. If it comes down to two horrible rich people who don't care about 99% of the country, a lot of people will just say screw it, let the country burn.
