Bernie Sannders resume isn't very impressive.

Bernie likes to rail agianst the rich. Many of which worked, created companies and employ people. What has Bernie done? I'm unable to find any relevant career or work history. He literally has been running for office since the early 70s. He supported Socialist candidates for President on several occasions. in early 70s. Yes, actual socialists. That aside, what has he done? Is being a career politician a positive? Has he ever employed anyone? Created anything? He's worth a cool 2 million. Owns 3 homes. Has the tax payer subsidised his entire fortune? Hey thats cool but what are his accomplishments outside politics? These are all general election narratives. If I'm missing any relevant work history- please opine. I'll vote for him and support him like hell but his life will be under the microscope.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

he tried to be a carpenter for brief period. And he wrote rape fantasies for publication for a bit. Wasn't good at either. Read that he lived i a minute in Israel from which he was expelled for not contributing much to the communal efforts.

his film making venture and his attempt to become a professional folk singer. (Apparently he can't carry a tune. Lol.)

On a more serious note, his supporters on DU this time around are a far kinder bunch than last time so the odds of getting some of our serious questions answered will be better.

Republican image formers will have a field day with that one in the General, if we are clueless enough to nominate Bernie.

8. It's impressive to a lot of people. He's held up the progressive wing in congress for thirty years,

while the country and even the Dem party were drifting right. Takes courage and conviction. He's been ahead of his time on countless issues. He didn't fall for the Iraq War ruse, or the Welfare Reform ruse, and so on. He's pretty much singlehandedly responsible for the fact that "single payer" and "free college" are widely discussed. He's inspired millions of people to become politically active.

...no wonder there have been so few major progressive accomplishments over that time and why the country has drifted rightward.

Our country would look a lot different today had Gore been elected over Bush (thanks Nader) and Hillary been elected over Trump (thanks Sanders).

After completing his undergraduate degree, he continued to Harvard Law School, earning his Juris Doctor with honors, in 1974. Schumer passed the New York state bar in early 1975. However, he never practiced law, choosing instead a career in politics.[15]
