(8,144 posts)1) he has already chosenbefore Nevada
2) he has said the person he has in mind probably has no idea he/she will be anointed.
3) he has praised Steyers campaigning efforts in S.C. where Steyer has promised substantial community investments
I had the feeling that though Clyburn defended Joe during challenges about his anti- school desegregation record and using a segregationist as an example of civil and productive
senatorial work, he was concerned, watchful of reactions from other AA leaders and communities across the nation. I am sure he gauged that reaction. Though controversy seemed to simmer down and Biden appear to emerge unscathed as far as AA support, I think Clyburn took another look at Bidens credibility.
I wish Biden had not said Clyburn will endorse him when asked in Nevada.
