(31,261 posts)Maybe the person is a total Bernie fanboy or fangirl and it would not matter if the others mopped the floor with Bernie.
The true answer comes on Saturday.

(4,959 posts)I think this Boston Globe grading seems to always inflate Bernie's grade, lol.
He shines at moments but debate is not his strongest skill. Especially when he's on the defensive like he was tonight.

(43,422 posts)I can never bring myself to be rah-rah 24-7 for Pete either. I admit when he has issues, like his more than likely fatal weakness with my fellow people of colour. Most of my time is spent defending him from scurrilous little and large, dodgy as fuck attacks, but when it is a legit criticism I always try to be fair and accept it.

(47,520 posts)debate performance so far.
The Boston Globe's ratings don't match what pretty much everyone else is saying.

(2,461 posts)I agree it wasn't a good performance - by anyone - especially the moderators.
Bernie had a worse performance - the one when his voice was so hoarse he could barely speak. A bad look.
But, thank heavens, he is better than ever now. But those moderators, and the paid crowd - meh

(67,782 posts)...better if given more time. Bloomberg improved over last week. Steyer and Sanders brought up the rear.
I wouldn't be surprised if Steyer drops out after Saturday's primary.

(10,500 posts)But I thought he did pretty well tonight.
Klobuchar was OK, but nothing special.
I felt that Buttigieg won, followed by Biden.
I think Sanders did much worse than the media is saying.
It will be interesting to see what the ratings were for tonight's debate. It was on network television, so that may push up the ratings.

Chris Cillizza's winners and losers from the 10th presidential debate
WINNERS
* Pete Buttigieg: The former South Bend, Indiana, mayor was at his absolute best in this debate. He found several occasions to make direct contrasts with Bernie Sanders -- most notably on the dangers for Democrats of nominating a democratic socialist and the differences in their health care plans -- which is a win in and of itself. Buttigieg also flashed a sense of humor when plugging his website to encourage donations, which was a welcome moment of levity in a debate defined by people shouting at one another at very close range. If voters were looking for a Sanders alternative who looked like he could be commander in chief in this debate, Buttigieg made a very good case for himself.

(65,175 posts)and the number of attacks, Bernie did well IMO. He did not wilt like Bloomberg did in the first debate. He did what he had to do, IMO.
The grades for the others dont make sense, however. I would put them something like this:
Sanders A-
Warren A-
Biden B+
Klobuchar - B-
Buttigieg - B- (points off for the 60s comment which was really a compliment IMO, and overuse of putting himself in the middle)
Steyer - C (I like him but he was unfocused tonight)
Bloomberg - C-
